Principal's Message
Dear Neubert Families,
This week will be a short one, and our students (and families!) can look forward to a well-deserved 4-day weekend as there is no school on 10/10 and 10/13. We hope you enjoy this extra time to rest, recharge, and make memories together.
Thank you for partnering with us and for all you do to make Neubert such a special place for our students to learn and grow.
Your Partner in Education,
Ms. Nicole Bryan, Principal
Neubert Elementary School
Faces of Neubert
Jennifer Jensen - K/1 Cross Cat Paraeducator
Jen is excited to be back in the working world. She took a long break to be at home with her three children, Colin-11, Nora-9 and Molly-5 Now that her youngest is in kindergarten (at Neubert), she is enjoying being at school everyday for work. She loves assisting in the cross cat room, learning more and more about the kids each day and being part of such a welcoming community. When she's not at school, she enjoys taxiing her own kids to their various activities, performing in park district musicals, reading and running and finding time to spend with her husband Tyler.
Neubert Staff Shoutouts!
At Neubert, we are so lucky to have such a dedicated and caring staff! We invite you to take a moment to recognize a staff member who has made a difference for your child(ren) or family. Your personal messages will be sent directly to the receiving staff member. Your kind words mean so much and help us celebrate the amazing work happening every day!
Walk, Bike & Roll to School — Join Us for a Fun, Healthy Event!

It brings families, neighbors, and the school community together
What can you do?
-
Walk, bike, or "roll" (scooters, skateboards, etc.) with your child to school that day
-

-
Snap photos and share them
We'd love for our school to take part! Mark your calendars, and let's help make safe, active travel to school a celebration!
Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15-October 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
At Neubert, we honor and value the diverse backgrounds of our students, families, and community members. Throughout the month, classes will engage in activities that highlight Hispanic culture, traditions, and influential figures who have made lasting impacts on our world.
We encourage families to celebrate at home too! You might:
-
Read books together by Hispanic authors 📚
-
Try cooking a traditional Hispanic recipe 🍲
-
Listen to music from Hispanic artists 🎶
-
Share stories and traditions from your own family’s heritage 💬
Together, let’s celebrate and learn from the cultures that make our community so vibrant!
National Bullying Prevention Month is observed annually in October to raise awareness about the impacts of bullying and to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. The month-long campaign, led by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, encourages people to unite against bullying and features a signature event called Unity Day on October 22nd, where participants wear and share the color orange to show support. Our teachers will be providing lessons and discussions that are designed to help students build empathy, strengthen relationships, and promote a culture of kindness and respect in our school throughout the entire month of October.
Halloween Festivities
Neubert Elementary will celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 30 with an all-school parade at 12:45 PM, followed by classroom parties at 1:00 PM. Important details about costume guidelines, party information, and spectator expectations can be viewed at the link below.
Updated 10/6/25
Our Lost and Found is bursting with lonely jackets, water bottles, and sweatshirts that are hoping to find their way back home! Please take a look at the pictures we’ve shared to see if any of these items belong to your child. To help our “lost treasures” get back to their owners even faster, we’d love for you to add your child’s name inside their belongings. That way, we can return them right away before they end up on another adventure in the Lost and Found!
