The AAMU/UAH Regional Inservice Center offers mentoring support for #ALRegion3 educators. Our mentors “walk alongside” candidates to support them “ through the certification process, often starting before the teacher actually applies for certification. Candidate support providers ask questions that help a candidate show evidence more clearly, are sensitive to a candidate’s emotional needs, help candidates create organizational systems to manage the process, locate resources to help with technology demands, and provide models of feedback that broaden and deepen the candidate’s own analytical abilities”.
Let the AAMU/UAH Inservice Center mentor you through the National Board process. You should not have to attempt it alone!

Happy New Year Region 3 Educators!
As we move through this second semester of the 2025-2026 school year, this season invites us to reflect, refocus, and reenergize our practice. I’m excited to continue partnering with you as we build momentum for a strong and impactful spring semester.
My mission remains the same: to support you in using technology not just as a tool, but as a pathway to transform teaching and learning. As we navigate mid-year goals and student growth, this is the perfect time to deepen implementation and explore fresh strategies that elevate engagement and achievement.
From artificial intelligence (A.I.) to digital literacy to computer science and beyond, we’ll continue exploring meaningful resources that empower both you and your students. Together, we can cultivate innovative, future-ready classrooms where technology enhances every learning experience.
I look forward to collaborating with you on professional development opportunities that leave you feeling refreshed, recharged, and INSPIRED to INTEGRATE!
Please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to support you in any way I can!
Genuinely,
Dr. Courtney Winn Hamilton

South's BEST 2025 Recap
South’s BEST Robotics Championship was held December 5–6, 2025 at Alabama A&M University’s Elmore Gymnasium, hosting more than 600 middle and high school students who advanced from local BEST hubs across the Southeast to compete in robot matches, engineering presentations, team exhibits, and spirit challenges.
Teams represented hubs from states including Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida, and the event brought together students, mentors, volunteers, and community supporters for two days of high-energy STEM competition and celebration.
Check out a snippet of our South's BEST Celebration and Competition. We had over 1,200 in attendance, and approximately 800 of these were middle and high school students. We HAD a BALL! We've already began planning for South's BEST 2026! Create your team for our next 2026 season!
