February 2026 Newsletter
One Culture, Five Houses: Living Our Core Values Every Day
Dear Imagine-Chancellor Families,
February is a month of growth, reflection, and connection, and it has been inspiring to see our students continue working toward their goals both academically and personally. Across classrooms and around campus, students are learning that effort matters, challenges help us grow, and a strong growth mindset leads to success.
This month, we are placing a special emphasis on what it truly means to Always Be a Charger by living out our Core Values of being Caring, Honest, Accountable, Respectful, Grateful, Empathetic, and Responsible. Our focus character strengths of kindness, love, fairness, and cheering others’ successes will be emphasized this month throughout our school community. From students supporting one another in the classroom to celebrating classmates’ achievements and showing respect and empathy on campus, these actions help build a positive and inclusive school culture.
I am incredibly proud of the progress I witness each day in our classrooms and across campus. Our students continue to demonstrate responsibility, perseverance, and a commitment to personal growth.
Thank you to our dedicated teachers for consistently going the extra mile to support and inspire our students, and thank you to our parents for your continued partnership and support. Together, we are helping our students grow academically, socially, and in character as we continue to Always Be a Charger. 💙⚡
With much love and appreciation,
Ms. Standley
Principal
Kindness Week
The Great Kindness Challenge is a global initiative that promotes kindness, social-emotional health, and bullying prevention. It's a week-long event where students perform as many acts of kindness as they can.
During the Week of February 2nd-February 6th, students complete as many kind acts as they can, using a checklist provided to them in class. Students are also encouraged to write their own kind deeds on the back and complete those as well. They will also be completing other tasks to demonstrate kindness to themselves, their peers, the staff, and the community throughout the week.
Please see the flyer attached with some of the dress down days and activities included. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Barratt or Ms. Mora.

Stay in the left lane for north side dismissal and right side for south side dismissal on Imagine Way. You will exit the campus through the High Ridge Road exits.
If you pick your child up late, the sponsor may charge a late fee pickup.

Important Update: New Volunteer and Chaperone Clearance Requirement
We want to inform you of an important change in state guidelines that may affect your ability to volunteer or chaperone at school events.
In accordance with a new Florida state statute, all individuals who volunteer on campus and have direct interaction with students — including field trip chaperones — must now have Level 2 clearance, which includes fingerprinting and a background screening through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
This updated requirement is designed to further enhance the safety and security of our students and school environment.
If you are interested in volunteering or serving as a chaperone this year, we encourage you to begin the Level 2 clearance process as early as possible, as it may take time to complete. Instructions for how to apply and schedule fingerprinting are listed below and available on the Parent Hub on our school website.
We greatly value our volunteers and the essential role you play in supporting our students. Thank you for your partnership and understanding as we comply with this state mandate.
School Counselor Update
This month in classroom lessons provided by our school counselors, students will continue to learn how to express their feelings respectfully, listen to others’ perspectives, and use problem-solving strategies to resolve disagreements in positive ways. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by asking your child how they express their feelings each day.
Annual Safety Patrol Trip to Washington D.C.
Fifth grade Safety Patrol students visited our nation’s capital, where they experienced American history firsthand. They toured various landmarks, memorials, monuments, and museums, and had the honor of presenting a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers. This meaningful experience is always a memorable trip and one our Safety Patrol students will remember for a lifetime.
K News
Mrs. Jones’s kindergarten class received a special visit from her son, Palm Beach Sheriff’s Deputy Thomas, and his K-9 partner. Students learned how a K-9 assists deputies in their work and how these highly trained dogs are considered true partners in helping enforce the law and keep the community safe.
The Kinder Tribe had many questions about why we were off on January 20th. During the week of January 12, Mrs. Noble led a discussion about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and why he is an important African-American figure. She explained that in the past, things were not equal, and people were often kept apart because of the color of their skin. Dr. King believed in fairness and wanted all boys and girls to be together, no matter their differences. We celebrate him for his commitment to peace, equality, and unity. This conversation was especially meaningful as students will continue learning about African-American figures who have influenced our world today.
1st Grade News
First grade classes have been using the placemat strategy during math review on pictographs, giving students time to think independently, share their ideas, and learn from one another while building confidence in their mathematical thinking
2nd Grade News
Our 2nd grade students celebrated the 100th day of school with learning, creativity, and lots of fun as they reflected on how much they’ve grown this year. Students made predictions about how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop—less than 100, exactly 100, or more than 100—turning a sweet treat into a math-filled learning experience! 🍭📚
3rd Grade News
Third grade had a WILD time at the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter! We enjoyed learning about and seeing some of Florida's native animals up close and personal. Students also had a hands-on activity practicing how to classify animals to tie into our Science Standards.
4th Grade News
The 4th grade team implemented the reading strategy of the “4 Corners” activity taught to us during our weekly team planning meeting in an exciting classroom ELA lesson. After reading a story, each student was given a square to answer these detailed questions. Students had to find the
characters, setting, key vocabulary words, and the theme of the story they read. Afterwards, the students had a fun activity where they used their classroom desk as a whiteboard, and wrote and drew
their answers on top of their desk. The students then had a. “museum walk” where they walked around observing their peers work and then selected the best ones.
5th Grade News
This STEM project fosters a "Seed to Table" journey for the students, using soil less science in a hydroponic garden to grow ingredients for a fresh pesto pasta, and a salsa snack.
Students learned that hydroponic plants grow faster and produce more than soil-grown plants. They observed the plant cycle from germination to fruit production with tomato and jalapeno seeds, and how all parts of oregano and basil are edible.
Students acted as "roller coaster engineers" to build a track using foam insulation that carried a marble down a hill, through 2 loops, and landed in a cup. This STEM project demonstrated the transformation of potential energy into kinetic energy while applying Newton's Laws of Motion.
MS ELA News
In Mrs. Andrade's 8th grade ELA class students are analyzing elements in classic poetry. Here you can see them using the placemat strategy as they break down 6 unique poems.
Ms. DiDomenico's classes have also used the Placemat Strategy with StudySync’s Priscilla and the Wimps. Students collaborated, shared evidence, and strengthened their understanding of the standard. Great work engaging students in meaningful discussion!
Positivity Penny Winners
K-5 students were celebrated for demonstrating outstanding character strengths for the month of December. These students were chosen as representatives of their grade levels to eat lunch with Ms. Standley. Congrats to all our Positivity Penny winners and all students who continue to show outstanding character throughout the day and live out our core values of Always a Caring Honest Accountable Respectful Grateful Empathetic Responsible.

5th grade and middle school students will be responsible for bringing their chromebook to and from school each day.
