Welcome to Rolling Hills Elementary School and to the start of the 2026-27 school year!

Open House: Rolling Hills will host an Open House for families on Wednesday, August 19, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. This informal event is an opportunity for students to drop off their classroom supplies, find their lockers, and meet their teachers. - More Info to come.

The first day of school for students in grades 1–6 will be on Monday, August 24.

4K and 5K FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: To help ease the transition into kindergarten, we will begin with a staggered start. Half of the students will attend on Monday, and the other half will attend on Tuesday. This smaller group format helps students build friendships, learn routines, explore the classroom, and become familiar with the school environment.

Please see the schedule below:

• Students with last names beginning A–L will attend on Monday, August 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. They will not attend on Tuesday.
  
  

• Students with last names beginning M–Z will attend on Tuesday, August 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. They will not attend on Monday.
  
  

• All 4K and 5K kindergarten students will attend together beginning Wednesday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.

***IMPORTANT: CLASSROOM PLACEMENT: We will be using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to inform you of your child’s teacher for the upcoming school year. Teacher assignments will be posted to Infinite Campus around August 3 to allow time for enrollment to stabilize. If you have not set up your Infinite Campus Parent Portal, please go to Infinite Campus Parent Portal for start-up instructions. It is very important that you set up your portal account right away. With this account, you will not only be able to see your child’s teacher placement, but view future report cards, lunch account balances, and make payments online.

SCHOOL HOURS: 8:30AM - 3:35 PM (Monday - Friday)

BUS ROUTES: Bus route information will be posted on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please ensure your child is at the designated pick-up point at least 5 minutes early. Buses may run behind schedule during the first week, so we appreciate your patience. For bus-related questions, contact Dousman Transportation at 262-363-7176.

If you need to stop by the office, we encourage you to call ahead, as vacations, meetings, and other summer commitments may result in occasional office closures during posted hours.

Students in 4th or 5th grade who participated in Orchestra this year and plan to play again next year must complete the returning to orchestra form.

Just a reminder that if you are experiencing a change in your financial situation, please contact the Food Service Department.

Meal benefit applications are accepted any time of the school year, and if you qualify, would significantly reduce the cost of school meals for your family.

Applications can be found online, on the Infinite Campus portal, or on the district website Food Services page under the Resources tab.

We also encourage you to reach out if your students have outstanding balances. We can work with you to create a payment plan or find other ways to assist you in paying your bill.
