Message from the Principal
Dear Nativity Families,
What a wonderful start to the school year! We are so grateful for each of our students and families and for the energy, joy, and excitement you have brought to campus these first few days. For those of you returning to Nativity, seeing familiar faces feels a little like reuniting with family. And to our new students and families, you have blended into our community so naturally that it feels as though you have been part of Nativity for years! We truly are blessed with a very special school community, and I am so excited for all that we will learn, accomplish, and experience together this year. God has entrusted us with a beautiful community, and I pray that we continue to grow not only in knowledge, but also in faith, virtue, and our care for one another.
Today, your student is bringing home a form for you to review and sign that includes our new Code of Conduct as well as the Parent-Student Handbook Acknowledgment. You can find the Code of Conduct and Handbook in the Parent Portal on our website. The Code is located in the “Rules and Policies” section. I ask that you take some time to sit with your children and read through the expectations outlined in the Code of Conduct. More than simply knowing the rules, we want our students to understand and take ownership of what it means to be a member of the Nativity community. As we begin this new year, we will continue to emphasize the importance of doing things for the common good. Each of us has a role to play in creating a community where every person feels respected, valued, and cared for. Our choices matter, and even the smallest acts of kindness, responsibility, and generosity can make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you in advance for taking the time to discuss these expectations with your children, signing the acknowledgement form, and returning it to school.
Finally, we are eagerly anticipating our Back to School BBQ this Sunday, August 23, as we celebrate The Nativity School’s 30th anniversary! This will be a particularly special gathering as we welcome alumni, former families, former teachers and staff, and parishioners back to campus to celebrate the history that brought us here. Thirty years is a beautiful milestone, and it is a reminder that Nativity is so much more than a school. It is a community and a ministry that has been shaped by countless people who have generously shared their time, talents, faith, and love with our students over the years. If you have not yet done so, please be sure to RSVP. I hope you will join us for what promises to be a wonderful afternoon of fellowship, celebration, and gratitude!
May God bless our Nativity families and this new school year, and may He continue to guide us as we challenge minds and hearts and grow together in faith and in service to one another.
With gratitude,
Brittany Bateman

You will also find a "Classroom Connect" section which houses information available for each grade level. You will find a welcome letter from your teacher, a class schedule (coming in August), supplies information, summer assignments if any and more.
To access the Parent Portal, go to the school website at TheNativitySchool.org, click on COMMUNITY and select Parent Portal. The password is Stars#1. For privacy reasons, please do not share this password with anyone outside the school community. Once you are in the portal, you can access information by clicking on the link in the various boxes. If a link doesn't work, it is because new data is still forthcoming and will be updated when available.
We invite you to look around in the Parent Portal. Please let Heidi or Traci in the school office know if you run into any issues.
Update Your FACTS Family Portal
Just a reminder that now is a very good time to update the information in your FACTS Family Portal. Update addresses, phone numbers and very importantly, allergies!
