Loving God,

We thank You for the gift of our school community, where we strive to live in harmony with one another.
Help us to walk each day with hearts full of
compassion, seeing the needs of others and responding with kindness.
May we always seek
unity, building bridges of understanding and working together in peace.
Teach us the grace of
forgiveness, so that we may heal, grow, and reflect Your love in all we do.

Bless our students, staff, and families, and guide us to be a light of hope and faith in our world.

Amen.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Australian Catholic Education Conference

This week, Mr Bigwood and I had the privilege of attending the Australian Catholic Education Conference, where 1,500 leaders from Catholic schools across the country gathered for a rich professional learning experience.

With the theme “Hope, Anchored in Faith,” the conference focused on the strategic vision and mission of Catholic education through three key pillars: Faith, Excellence, and Access. It has been an inspiring and affirming experience, and I feel truly blessed to represent our school community at this national event.

Catholic Performing Arts Festival

Over the past two weeks, our recorder ensemble and dance group have proudly represented our school at the Catholic Performing Arts Festival. The students were outstanding ambassadors, and their dedication to rehearsals throughout the year was clearly evident in their performances.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr Raftos, Miss Antonio, Miss Panaia, and our dance teacher Asha for their guidance and support in preparing the students.

We look forward to our final performance by the school choir on Wednesday, 28 August at the Vasto Club.

First Holy Communion

On Sunday, 31 August, some of our Year 4 students will receive their First Holy Communion during the 9:30am parish Mass. This is a very special milestone in their faith journey.

Thank you to Fr Bernard, the staff involved in preparing the children, and to the parents for your ongoing support. Please keep these students in your prayers as they take this important step in their spiritual lives.

Book Week

This year’s Book Week theme is “Book an Adventure”, and we’re excited to celebrate the joy of reading with a dress-up parade on Monday, 1 September, following Community Prayer.

Throughout the week, we will also be hosting a Book Fair in the Library. Families are welcome to visit during the following times:

  • Tuesday to Thursday
  • Morning: 8:00–8:30am
  • Afternoon: 2:30–3:45pm

We look forward to seeing students and staff embrace the magic of books and storytelling!

· I want to develop my relationship with God but where do I begin?

· What do Catholics believe anyway?

· How can I find peace and serenity in this troubled world.

· How can I help my children with their questions about God?

BANKSIA GROVE YOUTH GROUP SURVEY & INFO NIGHT

We’re excited to explore the possibility of starting a new youth group here at our parish - and we’d love your input! Whether you're a parent, young adult, teen, or simply someone passionate about supporting youth in our church, we invite you to complete a short survey to help shape what this ministry could look like. Your feedback will guide us as we plan activities, meeting times, and areas of focus.

You can find the survey by scanning the QR code.

To review the survey results and continue the conversation, we’ll be hosting an Information Night soon. Everyone is welcome to attend - especially those interested in helping build a vibrant and faith-filled youth ministry. Let’s work together to create something meaningful for the young people in our community. Thank you for your support!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your support with our eRideable Safety Awareness Project. We've been working with the City of Wanneroo to ensure students and parents understand how to use eRideables safely.

Following our first message, we are now sharing all three videos in the series. These short, informative videos have been filmed at schools across the City of Wanneroo and highlight key safety rules and regulations. We encourage you to watch them with your family to reinforce these important messages.

Here are the links to the videos:
