From the Principal's Desk
Dear SHS Families,
Every year, I feel like May has officially begun when I see flowers everywhere, and seeing the presentation of flowers at the May Crowning Mass brings forth that reality. It is so natural for children to bring their mother flowers. I think many of us can say that there are Dixie cups with wilting dandelions on their counters because their children cannot help but give these little gifts home. It is such a special occasion when the students at SHS have the same opportunity to present flowers to their spiritual mother as well. I want to thank all the moms who attended Mass this week, as well, to be honored alongside Mary and be celebrated at Muffins with Moms. Thank you to all of you for answering the call of motherhood, and I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Mother’s Day.
Saturday, the annual BASH will begin at 5:30. I want to thank everyone for their support and time preparing to make this year’s celebration of 75 years of SHS so special. Now all that is left is to come on Saturday evening, enjoy your time, and help support the things that make SHS such a special place. I will see you all there.
Believe it or not, next week is the last week of the school year for students. Look at the SHS Google Calendar to see all the happenings next week to help send students off for a happy summer vacation. There might even be a surprise or two in there to help celebrate the kids. I plan on “raising the roof,” so to speak, to help celebrate our kids' collection of HEART tickets this quarter.
With Faith & Hope,
Patrick (P.J.) Greer
