A Message from the Director

Dear Parents,

As the school year winds down, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for the incredible collaboration and support you’ve shown our special education team throughout the year. It has truly been a privilege to work alongside you as we strive to provide the best educational experiences for your children.

One of the things that makes Bedford so special is the collaboration and mutual respect between our special education team members and parents. This strong partnership leads to better outcomes for our students, and for that, I am profoundly grateful.

One Mom's Journey

Lisa Himelman, Max’s mother, recently shared her journey with autism at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she works. This was part of their annual event, Double Take: Stories That Make You Think Twice.

Lisa's story is truly inspiring, and she has graciously allowed me to share it with all of you. Her journey is a testament to the power of love, perseverance, and understanding. I’m sure it will resonate deeply with many of you and offer a fresh perspective.

Coffee and Chat with Cliff and Marianne

On Friday June 14th, please join Cliff and I, along with your SEPAC board, for coffee. We'll meet at the Superintendent's Office. If it's nice weather, we'll meet outside. If it's raining, we'll meet in the Superintendent's Conference Room. We'll meet from 9:30am-10:30am. Cliff will join from 9:30am-10:00am.
