Important Information
First Tuition Payment Information Available 9/10/25 via Parent Portal
HALF-DAY TUITION FOR PEER MODELS
The half-day peer model program is $140 per month. A nonrefundable deposit of $50 will be applied to the first month of tuition for new peers. Short months, five-week months, holidays, and snow days have been averaged. This means you will pay the same amount each month (September through May). Deductions will not be made for a child’s absence due to illness. There also will be no deductions for family vacations.
Preschool tuition payments will be uploaded in Infinite Campus mid September and payments can be made online through the parent portal under fees.
Refunds are not offered for the time period your child attends the preschool program as a peer model if your child qualifies for special education services as a preschooler with a disability.
Safe Snacks
Students should pack a healthy nut free snack and drink daily. Foods such as grapes should be cut up as a preventative measure for choking hazards. Staff may offer the child a different safe snack option if there are safety concerns with the snack that was provided by the parents/guardians.
Birthday food treats will not be allowed at school. Feel free to send non-edible items instead! We do want to celebrate your child's birthday, we just want to be respectful to students with food allergies!
Annual Student Update
ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL REMINDERS
- Bring the pick up card daily
- Make sure your pick up/drop off list is updated and any people picking up on the list should plan bringing the card or ID. We will not dismiss a child without a person being listed.
- AM pick up is at 11:25-11:30 am /PM pick up is at 3:10-3:15 pm
- Late pick up fees will begin next week for students who are picked up late.
- If your child is has a different pick up person, will be picked up early, or will not be riding the bus- please let the teacher know or contact the school.
- As a reminder- there should be no students arriving early to play on the playground during school hours.
- Head Start Families- if you are picking up- please consider coming closer to 2:30 for pick up. The parking lot gets very busy after that time frame and you may get stuck in the pick up line for school age.
Late Pick Up Fees
LATE PICK UP FEES
Parents/Guardians of peer model(s) who pick up their child after the scheduled pick-up time will be charged a late fee equal to $1.00 per minute, per child. Teachers will be asked to complete a Late Pick Up Acknowledgement form for parents/guardians who pick up their child after the scheduled pickup time. Parents/Guardians will be asked to sign the Late Pick Up Acknowledgement form and will be given a copy before leaving the preschool with their child. The fee must be paid in cash or check to the receptionist at Clark Hall, 380 Granville St., Suite B. Gahanna, Ohio 43230 before the child can be admitted back to their preschool class. If there are more than six violations, then your child may be dismissed from the program.
Steps for Becoming a Volunteer
Process:
A GJPS staff member will notify the school community of a need for volunteers.
Family members will contact the building coordinator or teacher to express an interest in volunteering.
Coordinator/teacher will share the Online Volunteer Application and Background Check Link: https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/OTkwOmVuLVVT
Volunteers will complete the application at least 5 days prior to the volunteer opportunity.
Note:
Other siblings can not volunteer with family members.
Visitors will continue to have their driver’s license scanned with our Raptor system which checks them against the national sex offender registry. This would include parents coming to have lunch with their student(s), guest readers, corporate presenters, etc.

Learning Aid Ohio’s mission is to elevate students with developmental disabilities through supplemental educational services. We connect families with tutors to help students stay on track toward their unique academic goals, specific to their individual needs and based on the curriculum their traditional teachers set. In support of that mission, we provide students on an Individualized Education Program (IEP) funding for in-person, supplemental learning support.
Triple P Parenting Courses
Positive ways to manage everyday challenges
Little children can have BIG emotions. And that can mean meltdowns, bedtime battles and aggressive behavior. Parents and caregivers need positive solutions that really work, for all kinds of situations.
- When children get better at things like routines, sharing, and getting along with others, family life gets a lot better.
- Children gain valuable life skills like problem-solving to help them now, and in the future.
- Children can learn to talk about strong emotions and handle them calmly.
Triple P can support you with strategies that take some of the challenges out of family life, leading to happier, calmer everyday living.
