Patriot's Pointe

Greetings Patriot Families,
This week our Algebra I and Social Studies courses will take their first district-wide benchmark interim assessment. These assessments will determine what our students should know and be able to do at this point in the semester. Parents we need your support to ensure our students are present in school for these assessments and getting proper rest before taking the test. Individual teachers will be providing specific details about the assessment so please expect that information this week.
A special thank you to Major Bohles, Master Sargent Harris, and our AFJROTC Cadets for an outstanding display of patriotism on Friday, September 11th as we commemorated the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Ms. Gallman, Ms. Jenkins, Mr. Kelley, and Mr. Cleveland did an excellent job bringing reverence to the moment through music as they directed our Orchestra, Chorus, and Band students.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to all members of the Divine 9 organizations who came out on Friday night to be recognized for their community engagement, scholarship, and service. Congratulations to the women of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated who donated the most pledges in the amount of $19.13 and are the winners of this year's fundraiser.
🏈 Congratulations to Coach Smiley and our Varsity Football team for another shut out putting up 51 points over Fayette County High School. This week, our team will face Riverdale High School on the road Friday, September 18th at 7:30pm. Let's pack their house just like we showed up last week and support our reigning State Champions!
🥎 Varsity Softball will match up against Mt. Zion High School at home on Tuesday, September 15th at 6pm and they will face opponents Luella, Hampton, and Mays on the road for the remainder of the week.
🚩Our Varsity Flag Football team will host the home opener against Starr's Mill and Newnan on Wednesday, September 16th at 5:30 and 7:30pm.
Please come out and support our student athletes at home this week. A schedule of all of our events can be found further down in our "Weekly Happenings" section.
Here’s to a powerful start and a year where we will Do Hard Things!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a Competitive Advantage!

Students and staff members can pick up a public library card application in the media center this month. Return your application to the media center by September 30, and your new library card will be returned to you at SCHS.
Student applications will require a parent signature.
Please encourage your students to become lifetime library card holders - starting today!
New Parent Drop Off and Bus Arrival/Dismissal Procedures
Please note that we have updated our morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up procedures. These changes are intended to separate parent vehicles from student drivers, creating a safer environment for students as they cross the street and enter the building.
Bus Arrival/Dismissal:
Students who ride the bus will be dropped off and picked up in the back of the school behind the cafeteria.
Student Drivers:
Students who drive to school must park only in the designated student parking lot and display a valid parking pass on their rearview mirror. After parking, students should use the designated sidewalk adjacent to the student parking lot and remain on that path when entering the cafeteria each morning. Students are not permitted to park in the faculty parking lot. Violators will lose their parking privilege and have a sticker placed on their vehicle.
Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up:
Parent drop-off and pick-up will now take place at the front entrance of the school through the faculty parking lot. Please follow the traffic flow indicated by the arrows in the diagram below. To help ensure that faculty and staff can arrive and begin the school day on time, we ask that parents refrain from parking in faculty parking spaces during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
We appreciate your cooperation, patience, and support as we implement these updated procedures. Thank you for partnering with us to help make our arrival and dismissal process as safe and efficient as possible for all students and staff.
La hora límite para la salida de estudiantes es a las 3:15. No se harán excepciones después de esta hora.
Electronic Device Policy
At Sandy Creek High School, we are committed to creating a learning environment where every student can thrive. To support a strong and focused start to the school year, students may not use personal electronic devices including cell phones, earbuds/headphones, Meta glasses, smart watches, or similar devices, during the school day. This expectation applies in all areas of the building, including classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, gym/locker rooms, and restrooms. By minimizing distractions and maximizing opportunities for engagement, we are helping our students build meaningful connections, remain present in their learning, and begin the year with the habits that lead to success. We appreciate your partnership and support as we work together to provide every student with a positive learning experience.
Parent Square: Your Hub for Communication!
The Parent Square app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
Get started with Infinite Campus
The Infinite Campus app is available in the App Store and Google Play.
2026-2027 Student Code of Conduct
To ensure accurate bus information for every student, Fayette County Public Schools requires families to formally request transportation services before riding the school bus.
All students MUST BE REGISTERED in order to ride a bus. Please convey transportation needs for student(s) by logging into your Campus Parent portal and navigating to the Survey tool. Click here for more information on completing Campus Surveys.
School bus information will also be available in your student's Campus Portal account as well as on the BusQuest mobile app.
Please note that new enrollments and address changes may take up to 48 hours to be processed by the Transportation Department. This time is needed to assign students to a bus stop and/or adjust their route if necessary.
- Students attending outside their school zone on special permission are not eligible for bus transportation
- Students living within a non-transport zone are not eligible for bus transportation.
Student Parking Pass
Student Parking passes are available all year for $70 and should be displayed in the bottom corner of the driver's side windshield.
