REMINDER to Professionally Certified Teachers
For those teachers who are professionally certified, please remember to complete your 100 hours of CTLE before your five-year expiration date. Of those 100 hours, 15% (or 15 hours) must be focused on ENL support for language acquisition. RBERN with Erie 1 BOCES offers free workshops to support this requirement. Here is a link to the RBERN website where you can find professional development if you need to fulfill any CTLE hours. Please note that some of the offerings are in person, while other workshops are virtual. ALL events are free to attend. Please get building-level approval before registering for any in-person workshop and enter any absence in AESOP.
Peer Coaching 1.0
For those individuals who have sent over their Peer Coaching 1.0 forms for approval, thank you. All forms that have been received are approved, and you should begin working on your projects. Please remember that all final paperwork is due to your building administrator and me on or before May 15, 2027, for final approval. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Chromebook Concerns
I understand that the teacher Chromebooks are older and we are beginning to experience some significant issues with them. If you have signifcant issues with your teacher Chromebook, please reach out to me directly via email so I can stop by your classroom to discuss this with you. We need to work through the issues together and emails may not convey the issues you are experiencing clearly. I am looking at options for new teacher devices and will be discussing these options with Mr. Hoot as part of the 27-28 budget.
