FACTION CROSS COUNTRY FACTION CROSS COUNTRY

It was a great day for our Faction Cross Country event on Friday 5 June, as our students participated with great enthusiasm.

Days like this always provide opportunities for our students to display our school values – Service, Courage, Acceptance and Peace. I congratulate all students for their efforts on the day. I also congratulate our medal winners and the overall winning faction, Mercy.

Thank you to Mr Sam Harris (Physical Education Teacher) for his organisation of the day.

SACRAMENT OF FIRST COMMUNION SACRAMENT OF FIRST COMMUNION

We keep our First Communicants in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for this special milestone.

I sincerely thank our Year Four teachers, Ms Dee Campbell, and Fr Rodrigo for their dedication, support, and organisation.

All families are warmly invited to join us at St Brigid’s Church on Sunday 14 June at 11:00am for Mass, during which our Year Four students will participate in the Eucharist for the first time.

CEWA EXECUTIVE VISIT CEWA EXECUTIVE VISIT

Rev Mark Powell (Director of Religious Education, CEWA) will be visiting our school on Wednesday 17 June from 9:00am-12:00pm.

The purpose of Executive Visits is to foster strong relationships between schools and the Catholic Education Office. During these visits, members of CEWA’s Executive Team have the opportunity to build relationships, offer support and gain a greater understanding of each school’s context.

Mark looks forward to connecting with staff and students during his visit.

MEDICATION PROCEDURES MEDICATION PROCEDURES

If your child requires prescription medication during school hours, please ensure that the school is provided with written documentation from the doctor outlining dosage and administration requirements.

A School Medication Record will also need to be completed (available at the school office). As the school is responsible for students during the school day, a written note from parents does not suffice.

If circumstances change, the medical advice from the doctor must be updated. Please ensure that medication is provided in the original packaging.

Medication will be administered through the school office moving forward.

RAD REWARDS RAD REWARDS

WOW! I am overwhelmed at how many tickets have been in each RAD Rewards box every fortnight! It is wonderful to see so many children being rewarded for making great choices.

Our remaining draws will take place this week, and also in Weeks 8 and 10 – plenty more opportunities for a chance to be part of Lunch With Leadership in Week 11. Students attending Lunch With Leadership DO NOT need to bring their lunch on the day.

STAGE 2: TOKENS – Faction AND Whole School Reward (Coming Soon….. in Term 3)

Staff will continue to hand out raffle tickets, and we will continue to draw one person from each year group to join Lunch With Leadership at merit assemblies.

  • Students continue to earn raffle tickets BUT will also receive a faction token.
  • Faction Token Holders will be positioned outside the Library.
  • The Faction with the most tokens at the end of each term will have 15mins extra play AND an icy pole (ONE day in the last week of term).
  • School community updated at each Merit Assembly about how many tokens each faction has accumulated so far.
  • Faction tokens will also be combined towards a whole school goal and reward at the end of the year.

Waste Free Wednesday Waste Free Wednesday

At St Brigid’s, we are excited to begin our Waste Free Wednesdays as part of our commitment to caring for the environment and “loving our Earth.”

Each Wednesday, we encourage all students and staff to bring a waste-free lunchbox and avoid any plastic wrapping. Together, we can make a big difference… one small change at a time!

✅ Ideas for a waste-free lunch:

• Pack snacks and lunches in reusable containers

🚫 What to avoid:

• Plastic bags, cling wrap, or foil

• Disposable bottles and juice boxes

• Snacks packaged in plastic

Let’s work together to reduce waste and build sustainable habits for our children.

♻️ Saving the planet one Wednesday at a time!

Thank you for your support!

A Message From The Canteen Manager:

Hello my name is Kylie and I have been the Canteen Manager at St Brigid's Primary School for over 12 years.

I am looking for any mums, dad, grandparents or careers who can spare some time to help out in the canteen. If you can't help for the entire day, that's not a problem, we would be grateful for anytime you can offer. The busiest time in the canteen is between 11.15am to 12.30pm. I find that the children love seeing there loved ones in the canteen it always bring a bit of fun into there day.

As a little "thank you" for your help, the canteen will provide you with lunch, a cold drink and bottomless cups of tea/coffee. Any additional information please feel free to come and see me in the canteen, I am happy to have a chat with you.
