New Traffic Flow

Dear Holy Redeemer Families,

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we have implemented our new traffic procedures.

We have had great initial success with the new process. The traffic flow has been safer, smoother, and more efficient for everyone involved, and we appreciate the way families have adjusted to the changes.

Moving forward, we will also be using the same procedures for after-school pick-up. This means families should continue to use the Quick Drop-Off and Pick-Up Lane, the Through-Traffic Lane, and the Parent Parking Lot in the same way during afternoon dismissal.

A few important reminders:

Please continue to drive slowly and watch carefully for students and pedestrians.

Please follow all posted signs and staff directions.

Please do not stop, park, or wait in the Through-Traffic Lane.

Please remain patient as everyone continues to adjust to the new pattern.

Student safety remains our highest priority, and we are grateful for your continued support as we work together to make arrival and dismissal safer and more efficient for all students.

Thank you again for your cooperation.

Blessings,

Ed Kucy
Principal

Paid Part-Time Position: Hockey Academy Truck and Trailer Driver Needed

Holy Redeemer Catholic School is looking for a reliable individual to assist with our Hockey Academy program on Tuesdays and Thursdays during Hockey Academy days.

The successful candidate would be responsible for driving the school’s Hockey Academy truck and trailer to transport student hockey bags and equipment between Sherwood Park and Holy Redeemer.

Morning responsibilities would include meeting the Hockey Academy student bus at Holy Spirit Catholic School at approximately 7:30 a.m., followed by a stop at St. Theresa Catholic School. Students will load their hockey bags into the trailer, and the driver will then transport the trailer back to Holy Redeemer.

At the end of the school day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the process would be reversed, with hockey bags and equipment being transported back to the Sherwood Park drop-off locations.

Please note that this position is for the transportation of Hockey Academy gear only. Students will not be transported by the driver at any time.

This is a paid part-time position. Applicants should be comfortable driving a truck and trailer and must meet all school/division requirements for this type of role.

If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the school office at 780-922-4522

Family Wellness Worker (FWW)

We would like to welcome back Mrs. Lindsay Andreychuk as our School Wellness Worker. Please stay tuned for her updates in this section.

Service Delivery

Each school is staffed with a Family Wellness Worker (FWW), who works under the direction of their School Principal and the Assistant Superintendent of Faith & Wellness. FWW's receive clinical guidance from a Registered Psychologist.

The primary function of the Family Wellness team is to provide social and emotional support to students and families. Family Wellness Workers meet with students and parents to assess needs, set goals, identify required supports, and plan appropriate interventions.

They collaborate with school system staff and community resources to build a “village” of support around students/families who are struggling.

Referrals

Parental consent is required for FWW services.

Referrals to the Family Wellness Program may be made by students, parents/guardians, school administration, teachers, or other school staff (e.g. school counsellor or inclusive learning facilitator, etc.).

Parents and guardians can access these services by speaking with the Principal or contacting the school's Family Wellness Worker directly.
