Ridge Circle Family Newsletter
August 1, 2025
Welcome to Ridge Circle Elementary!
Welcome new and returning parents to Ridge Circle! You are now RC Family to us. Welcome!!
My name is Janelle Raine and I am the proud principal of RC. Our RC team cannot wait to meet our new students or as we like to call them--RC panthers! Joining me this year is Mrs. Sarah Hansen as our fabulous Assistant Principal.
This is our Ridge Circle Family Newsletter. During the school year, the newsletter is sent at 6pm every Friday. Watch for it. It contains for all things RC.
Kindergarten Playdates
We are thrilled to invite your family to our school’s upcoming Kindergarten Playdate! It’s a fantastic opportunity for your future kindergartener to play, explore, and start meeting their new friends.
You can also meet our school staff, get your questions answered, and connect with other families. These gatherings are a perfect way to ease into the exciting world of kindergarten with smiles and confidence.
Looking forward to a playful and informative time together!
Back to School Event
Please join us at the RC Playground to meet the teachers and staff on August 7th from 6-7pm. We are all so excited to welcome you to RC. This is your first opportunity to meet your child's teachers. We encourage you to ask questions and learn about RC. Come with a smile....it's going to be a great year.
Flag Ceremony
Every year RC starts the year with a Flag Ceremony. The school will all come outside to raise the American Flag for the first time. We will say the pledge of allegiance, our Paw Law Pledge, have some announcements, and start the year. This a short 15 minute event.
Parents are welcome to come and watch our flag ceremony.
Attendance Matters
At RC, we believe that Every Minute Matters. Our school is dedicated to providing an exceptional education for all students, laying a strong foundation for their future success. For this to happen, it's crucial that our school, families, and students work together to ensure consistent attendance. Family participation is vital to this effort. None of our strategies can succeed without a strong partnership between our families and our school. Together, we can help students thrive and achieve a happy and successful educational experience.
Showing up to school every day is critical for children’s well-being, engagement and learning.
- A whole year has 365 days.
- A school year has only 176 days.
- That leaves 189 days to spend on family time, visits, holidays, shopping, and other appointments.
Attendance / Absences
An absence is required to be reported to the main office by 9am. There are 3 ways to communicate an absence.
1. Call 630-213-5600. Press 1 for attendance.
2. Email ridgecircleattendance@u-46.org
3. Log In to Infinite Campus, Select Attendance(new tutorial video)
Thank you for working with us to make Every Minute Matter!
Planned Vacations / Family Trips
Please try to schedule all vacations and family trips outside the school year. These types of absences are unexcused.
