A Message from the Principal
Here’s a polished version that keeps the warm, positive tone while making the reminders easy for families to scan:
We’ve had a great first full week of school! Students are starting to settle into their routines, get back into school mode, and find their rhythm. It’s been great to see them getting comfortable and ready to learn!
A few reminders as we head into another week:
💻 Chromebooks
7th and 8th grade students need to bring their Chromebooks to school every day, fully charged and ready to go. Building this into their nightly routine can help make mornings a little easier!
📊 Stay Connected with Skyward
Parents can sign up to receive weekly Skyward alerts on Saturdays with updates on their student’s grades and attendance. This is a great way to stay informed and catch concerns early.
📚 Build Good Habits Now
The beginning of the year is the perfect time to help your child establish routines for:
Completing homework and missing assignments
Keeping track of upcoming projects and due dates
Studying and preparing for tests
Charging their Chromebook and getting everything ready for the next school day
🐯 After-School Homework Help Begins This Week!
Our after-school program will begin this week and is available Monday–Thursday from 3:30–4:30 PM for students who need extra time or help completing homework. Students who stay must have transportation arranged and be picked up promptly at 4:30 PM.
📝 Handbook Acknowledgment
We still have quite a few families who have not completed the handbook acknowledgment for the 2026–27 school year. If you haven’t done so yet, please take a few minutes to complete the form below. This lets us know that you have reviewed and understand our school policies and procedures.
Thank you for helping us start the year strong! We appreciate your partnership and all you do to help our students be successful. Here’s to another great week at JWMS! 🐯❤️🖤
Please sign off on the JWMS Handbook. WE have a LOT who haven't don't this yet.
Here to Help- Supporting Student Success with Mrs. Jamison
Hello Families,
Throughout the school year, our students will be developing their Individual Plans of Study through activities in Xello, Student-Led Conferences, career exploration, and more. One of the exciting ways we can help students begin thinking about their futures is by connecting them with real people and learning about the many different career paths available to them.
Do you have a career, profession, or area of expertise you would be willing to share with our students? We would love to connect students with members of our community who can provide insight into their career experiences!
If you are interested, please take a moment to complete the form below:
Thank you for helping us provide meaningful career exploration opportunities for our students!
