Notes from Mrs. Ishihama Notes from Mrs. Ishihama

This is just a friendly reminder that we are a nut free room and can't have food items that have nuts or may have been made at a place that also makes peanuts. Please check packaging labels carefully. Students should also be trying their best to bring in a healthy snack choice. Some students have been bringing in Halloween candy for snack time and asking me to check every piece. Thank you for helping with this! It's truly appreciated.

Thank you for helping your child track the moon each night and remember that our turkey papers are due back Monday. I'm excited to see how everyone's turkey turned out!

Moon Homework Moon Homework

Students were given a sheet to track what the moon looks like last Monday. They will need to keep drawing a quick sketch of what the moon looks like each night. If it's cloudy or a night is forgotten, then it is alright. We will go over it in class too and there are even websites that you can check. Please encourage students to check to see if the moon is visible and then (if it's not visible) you can always pull it up online or leave it blank to fill in during class.

Snack and Allergen Friendly Foods (Repeat Information) Snack and Allergen Friendly Foods (Repeat Information)

Thank you so much for helping your child pack a snack that is safe for our classroom! We are a Peanut/Tree Nut Free Classroom, so it is important we keep bringing snacks that are nut free. This includes snacks that don't have nuts in them, but were "manufactured in a plant with peanuts." This includes anything students would put in their home lunch boxes too.

Below is a list of allergen friendly foods that do not contain peanuts. We currently have students who have severe allergies to peanut foods causing life threatening Anaphalaxis. Please continue double checking to ensure none of the following statements are listed on the label:

“May Contain Peanut”

“Processed on shared equipment with Peanuts”

“Manufactured in a plant with Peanut”

“Contains Peanut Ingredients”
