Archbishop J. Michael Miller, in a podcast series on the The Holy See's Teaching on Catholic Schools, says, "The Holy See, through its documents and interventions, whether of the Pope or of other Vatican offices, sees in Catholic schools an enormous heritage and an indispensable instrument in carrying out the Church's mission in the third Christian millennium. Ensuring their genuinely Catholic identity is the Church's greatest challenge. Complementing the irreplaceable role of parents in ensuring the education of their children, such schools, which should be available to all , build up the community of believers, evangelize culture and serve the common good of society."
The family meetings have started and it is beautiful to sit for a few minutes all the parents who have students at the school. I know this is going to be lifechanging for our entire community. I am so excited about this year ahead and the war we will wage on mediocrity.
Some of your children may have mentioned that Mr. Chapman hasn't been here all week. His wife, who was still in rehab in Lincoln, had a serious set back last weekend and returned to ICU in the hospital. Healing is on God's time. I will keep you posted if there are any needs.
