Committee Members Sought for WGSD
The Webster Groves School District is seeking members for the Board of Education’s Finance Advisory Committee and the Building Advisory Committee.
The finance committee, which meets monthly from 7:00-8:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday, monitors financial issues and trends facing the district and advises the administration and board.
Qualifications for the committee include
Professional training or proven expertise in financial management
Residence or employment within the Webster Groves School District boundaries
Dedication to serving the district and community
Willingness to serve as a community liaison
Commitment to comply with School Board policies and committee guidelines
Ability to attend a majority of the scheduled meetings

The building committee meets monthly from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday. It monitors facility issues and trends and provides advice regarding long-range planning for facilities.
Qualifications for the committee include
Professional training or proven expertise in facility management or construction
Residence or employment with the school district boundaries
Dedication to serving the district and community
Willingness to serve as a community liaison
Commitment to comply with School Board policies and committee guidelines;
Ability to attend a majority of the scheduled meetings

Welcome Back to School! Whether you are new to the district or have had the chance to be part of this district for years, we hope you have heard about our recent celebrations over the years and how the WGSD Foundation supports ALL our teachers and students by providing grants for innovative and creative learning in the classrooms of YOUR STUDENTS!! There are so many ways to be part of the Foundation and show your support. From the Run for Webster in October to Webster on Wheels in May, and lots of events in between, your support helps our teachers in some pretty amazing ways! NEW THIS YEAR: The WGSD Foundation is super excited to kick off the school year with the Inaugural “Foundation Cup” Golf Tournament on October 7th at Tapawingo National Golf Club. This FUN, competitive rivalry is a 2 on 2 Ryder Cup format Golf Tournament pairing Webster Golfers against Kirkwood Golfers. The winning school district Foundation will be awarded the “Foundation Cup” Trophy and bragging rights!!
