Important Notice for 2025–2026 School Year Registration
Students who are NOT registered in Skyward for the 2025–2026 school year will be required to turn in their Chromebooks and chargers.
To avoid turning in your device for the summer, you must be fully registered by May 23rd, please log in to Skyward, click on the Returning Student section, update your information, and submit it as soon as possible. Just a reminder there are no fees next year!
Thank you for your prompt attention! If you have any questions or need assistance please call Mrs. Beckwith @ 630-279-6160
Summer Chromebook Use
Salt Creek School District 48 all district-issued Chromebooks (and chargers) go home with students for summer use. All Chromebook activity will continue to be filtered and logged. However, the District will not be actively monitoring the activity until school resumes and students will only be allowed to access district approved educational materials. This only applies to students in grades 1 through 7 who are fully registered for the 25-26 school year. Summer technology will not be an option for our current kindergarten students, as those Chromebooks remain in Kindergarten each year.
We will not be able to do repairs throughout the summer, so if your child's device has any issues during this time, please email their school's administrative assistant and principal. We can work together on a solution that works best for you.
If you would like to opt-out of having your child keep their device for the summer, please email Gerrie Aulisa at gaulisa@saltcreek48.org. If no response is received, and your child is fully registered, then your child will be sent home with their Chromebook.
Incoming 6th Grade Health Forms
This is a reminder that, per the state of Illinois, all students entering 6th grade in the Fall will need to have a completed physical, dental exam, and eye exam within the last year. The forms need to be submitted to the nurse or office no later than October 15th, 2025. More information and copies of the forms can be found on the district website. The summer is a great time to take care of these appointments so your child does not have to miss school!

8th Grade Parents Information!
We need your photos!!!!
Parents,
Please send Dr. Aulisa young photos of your 8th grader. She is working on a slide show that will be shared at the dance. If your child has been in the district for a while, group pictures are preferred. This way, she can get as many kids in each photo as possible. Please send 4-5 photos, with only 1-2 being only pictures, unless your child is new to our school. She will collect photos until Friday, May 16th. Please email her at gaulisa@saltcreek48.org . We appreciate your help and want every student to be in our slideshow!
Albright Health Office News
Why the Measles Vaccine Matters for School Communities
With recent news coverage about measles outbreaks in other parts of the country, we wanted to share a quick reminder about how we can keep our school community healthy and safe.
While there are currently no measles cases in Illinois, it’s still important to stay prepared. Measles is highly contagious and can spread quickly—but the MMR vaccine is a safe and effective way to protect against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella.
In Illinois, children are required to receive two doses of the MMR vaccine before starting Kindergarten (with some exceptions). If you're unsure whether your child is up to date, a quick check with your healthcare provider can help.
