Week of December 1, 2024 Week of December 1, 2024

Good Evening Tigers,

This is Noel Keener, the proud principal of Ragsdale High, with this week's updates.

Interims were emailed out on Tuesday. Please make sure you received the email so you can be informed of your student's progress. Have any questions? Please contact your child's teacher.

Congratulations to our Ragsdale Flag Football Team for being in the playoffs! Our first game will be Saturday, December 7 at 10am. Come out and support your Tigers!

On either December 2, 3, or 5, select seniors will be taking 3 WorkKeys assessments. This assessment measures skills required for success in the workplace, and help measure the workplace skills that can impact job performance. Successful completion of WorkKeys core assessments can lead to earning a credential that verifies the skills found to be most essential across industries and occupations. Seniors are eligible to take it if they are, or are expected to be, a CTE Pathway completer.

Starting December 2, we will be able to accept online payments from parents through SchoolCash Online, available at https://Gcsnc.schoolcashonline.com. By minimizing cash and check payments at our schools, we can increase safety & security in the schools, allow staff to focus on students, and make life more convenient for teachers and parents. Please register at the link provided in the newsletter so you will receive notifications of upcoming events and items involving your child, including: field trips, yearbooks, spirit wear, athletic fees, and more.

Please see our calendar on our website for the most up to date information and for game and practice schedules.

We look forward to seeing you Monday at 8:55!

Thank you , have a great week, and, as always, TIGER PRIDE!

Athlete of the Week

The Ragsdale Tigers are thrilled to announce that sophomore guard Brooke Parker has had an impressive week on the basketball court, averaging 17 points per game while also leading her team in assists. As the starting point guard, Brooke's exceptional skills and leadership have been pivotal in driving the Tigers' success.

Coach Stewart praised Parker’s dedication and work ethic, stating, “Brooke has done an excellent job as she continues to put in the work that she knows will lead to success. Her ability to elevate her teammates’ performance makes her an invaluable asset to our team.” The enthusiasm she brings to the court is equally matched by her spirit from the bench, where she is always cheering on her teammates and fostering a supportive environment.

Parker's outstanding performance has not gone unnoticed, as her recent achievements caught the attention of several college scouts in the stands. This acknowledgment is a testament to her hard work and potential as a promising athlete in the world of collegiate basketball.

As the season progresses, the Ragsdale Athletics community is excited to see how Brooke continues to develop her skills and lead the Tigers on and off the court. Her commitment to teamwork and excellence exemplifies the spirit of Ragsdale Athletics.
