See You at the Pole

by Sarah

See you at the Pole is a global, student led prayer rally held annually on the fourth Wednesday of September. See you at the Pole started in 1990 in Texas as students felt led to pray for their school. It soon spread nationwide and the following year an estimated one million students gathered at flag poles.

Due to the weather this year we had our see you at the pole in the gym. We had student led worship and prayer. Worship was led by: Mayme, Katie, Avery, and Maggie. Prayer was led by Katie, Kayin, Arianna, Leah, and Parker. Every year CCA participates in see you at the pole and we look forward to it, rain or shine.

Joy is found in the Lord

by Sarah

"I've got the joy joy joy joy down in my heart. Where? Down in my heart to stay." A lot of us grew up learning this song as kids because it teaches us joy comes from the Lord and no matter the circumstances our joy is found in Jesus. Nehemiah 8:10 says, “go, eat the festival foods, drink the sweet drinks, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared: for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your refuge.”

This week, remember your joy comes from the Lord.

7th graders have a fun time in Friendzy, taking joy in the fact the Lord did not leave us alone, he gave us brothers and sisters in Christ, so that we are better together through Him!
