Message From the Principal/Assistant Principal's Desk
Hello PJHS Families,
This week, we had our PJHS picture day. The girls' basketball season also started this week. We encourage you to look at the athletic schedule and come out to show support. GO BIG BLUE!
In addition, this past week, the 6th graders got an opportunity to take their field trip to the Old Mill during their Social Studies classes. We thank everyone who supported our students' learning through this field trip.
This upcoming week will also be busy and we have some fun spirit days planned in celebration of homecoming week. Please refer to all the dates below to see the theme of the day!
PJHS would also like to thank the PTO for the fall mums that they donated to the school. It makes our entrance look brighter!
Below, you sill see the details of our PJHS Fall Dance scheduled on October 24th. Student Council is working hard behind the scenes to make this night fun for all!
Please note that parent sign-ups for conferences went out this past Friday. If you were not able to secure a spot for a conference for your child, please click on the link below. Conferences are scheduled for October 30th.

PJHS Student Chromebook Policy
Please refer to the Chromebook policy for PJHS students. Please also try and remind your child to charge his/her Chromebook everyday to limit infractions of the policy.

Spiritwear orders went home this week - thank you to everyone who ordered!
Stay tuned for our next spiritwear store in November - we'll have Go Big Blue designs and our next Class of 2026 drop!
Pancake Breakfast Planning Meeting
It may still be 80 degrees outside but the PTO is already looking ahead to winter for our biggest fundraiser of the year, our annual Pancake Breakfast. This will take place on Saturday, December 13th as part of Peotone's Christmas in the Village.
We have so many ways you can get involved and help - whether it's prep/planning, making raffle baskets or volunteering the day of - this event literally "takes a village" to make happen.
We'll be holding our first planning session on Monday, October 20th at 8pm - this will be a virtual-only meeting. Check out our linktree for the google meet link.

Other Reminders
If you are dropping off any items for your child:
- The exterior door closest to the buzzer will be unlocked. You may enter using this door without needing to be buzzed in.
- There is a table set up on the right to place items being dropped off for your child. Please write their first and last name, and grade level on a sticky note and leave the item on the table.
If you are entering the building for any reason during the school day, you will need your ID to scan in through our Raptor system.
