Let's get ready for another GREAT school year!

Dear Families,

We are excited and ready to welcome our students back to school! We will begin our new school year on Tuesday, August 20th. Our staff has been working hard to prepare our school for our students to return to. As I enter my third year as your Superintendent, I feel very fortunate to work with a dedicated staff, a supportive school board, and our amazing students and families. This school district along with our small town community has made such a positive impact on my life! I am so grateful to be here! My husband and I absolutely love Carrington!

The connection between school and community plays a vital role for the success and well-being of our students. When we work together as one cohesive unit, we create an environment that supports and strengthens the academic, social and emotional growth of our students. It is through our shared efforts of collaboration and communication that we can continue to empower our students to succeed. I believe in our staff, our students and the strength of our community. Together, we can achieve greatness and make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

Let's make this a great year! I look forward to seeing each and everyone of you either at the school, out in the community, or at any of our Cardinal events!

Please remember my door is always open and if you need anything you can call me at 701-652-3136 or email janelle.helm@k12.nd.us

Busses and Pick-up and Drop-off loop information and reminders!

Busses will continue using DOOR 7

We will continue to use door 7 as our bus pick-up and drop-off location. Please remind your students to walk and look look both ways when they are crossing into the parking lot by door 7. Our number one goal is to ensure the safety of all our students. At the elementary school, only students who are walking/biking or have a parent/guardian picking them up or dropping them off will use door 1. First round bus students (busses 1, 4, 9, and 7), along with students using door 1, will be dismissed at the 3:15 bell. At 3:17 a bell will dismiss second round bus students (2, 3, 6, and 8).

Pick-up and Drop-off loop.

DO NOT leave your car unattended in the elementary pick-up/drop-off loop. The driver must be with their car at all times when in these lanes. If you enter the building, you MUST park your car in the parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation!

Elementary doors will open at 3:10pm for student pick-up. Please wait to enter the building until 3:10 pm.

Rural Bus Routes

Your bus driver will be contacting you prior to the first day of school with your pick up time and their phone number. If you are on a rural route and your child does not plan to ride please contact your bus driver directly. If you need assistance please contact the high school office at 652-3136 after 6:45am.
