Principal's Corner:
What a Fantastic Start to the School Year!
Hello Orchard Primary Families,
What a fantastic beginning to the school year at Orchard Primary! Our students have done an amazing job settling into their new classrooms, learning new routines, and getting to know their teachers and classmates. It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces throughout our hallways!
The first few weeks of school are always filled with excitement, new experiences, and a little bit of learning how to “do school” again—and our Orchard students are doing it beautifully! From practicing classroom routines to making new friends, learning expectations, and diving into their first lessons, our students are off to a wonderful start.
We are so proud of the way our students are showing kindness, curiosity, responsibility, and perseverance each day. These first weeks are laying the foundation for a successful and joyful school year.
A huge thank you to our Orchard Primary families for helping your children get ready for school each morning, establishing routines at home, and sending your children to us ready to learn. Your partnership makes such a difference!
And, of course, a tremendous thank you to our amazing Orchard Primary staff! Our teachers and support staff have worked incredibly hard to create welcoming classrooms, establish strong routines, and make sure every child feels safe, known, and ready to learn. We are so fortunate to have such a caring and dedicated team.
As we move into the school year, we are excited about all that is ahead! There is so much learning, growing, laughing, and making memories to come.
It’s going to be a GREAT year at Orchard Primary! 💛🖤🧡
With gratitude,
Mrs. Tanya Phillips, Principal

OP Teachers Professional Development Day Aug. 27th
Orchard Primary has adopted a new literacy curriculum this year - "Amplify CKLA." Our teachers collaborated together and learned a lot during our August professional development day of learning with an Amplify CKLA trainer. We also discussed that with our new learning, we are all under the "Umbrella of Grace" this year, as it will be a year of growth for our teachers, students and families. Families, please click the link below to learn more about our new literacy curriculum.
