📣 Families! Here's What's Happening This Month

Mark your calendars as February is a busy month with many student and parent activities scheduled to take place!

February is "Jump Rope for Heart" month, and our students will participate in heart-healthy exercises during PE classes throughout the month. We encourage every student to enroll in this worthwhile campaign. Students will be collecting pledges to support the American Heart Association. Look for more information about our Jump Rope for Heart Parent Event to be held on Friday, February 28, 2025.

On-site Pre-K Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will be held on February from 10:30-12:30. All information can be found at the website referenced below.

Please note that on Wednesday, February 19th students will have an early dismissal at 11:45 for teachers to participate in district-scheduled Professional Development.

Check out the February calendar below for additional information.

Without Valentine’s day, February would be…well January.

Johnette Downing Visits Meaux Elementary

Meaux Elementary recently had the opportunity to have award-winning, internationally recognized singer and songwriter, Johnette Downing visit us. She performed some of her famous children's books and songs and had our students and staff alike up on their feet, reading, singing, and moving to the music. Special thanks to the Acadiana Center for the Arts and our district personnel who worked together to bring this performance to our school.
