Glenwood
This Week's Scouting Report
Thursday October 23, 2025
They say "time flies," and that is certainly true this fall. It is hard to believe we are approaching the last week in October already! We have a LOT going on next week as we celebrate Red Ribbon Week and our spirit days, picture retake day on Tuesday October 28th, and fall classroom parties and our Halloween parade on Friday, October 31st.
Also just around the corner is an early dismissal at 12:20 pm on Monday, November 3rd (grades 1-5) with NO PM-Kindergarten and NO SCHOOL (Teacher Inservice Day) on Tuesday November 4th.
Save the date and join us as we recognize American Education Week with an Open House for our parents and guardians November 17th - 21st (dates and times vary by grade level so please see below). This week we have also included the links for our Parent / Teacher Conferences November 24th & 25th.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Christa Consadene cconsadene@rtmsd.org.

We will be discussing Healthy Eating for Healthy Bodies
Tuesday, October 28th: Dress to Impress
We will be sharing the many IMPRESSIVE benefits of drinking water
Wednesday, October 29th: Favorite Team or Sports shirt
We will be discussing the importance of exercise for healthy bodies
Thursday, October 30th: PJ Day!

Picture Retakes
All students had their picture taken for the yearbook. We opted for a PROOF program, which will allow you to view a proof of your child before you purchase. Ordering information will accompany your child's proof.
If your child was absent or you are not pleased with their original photo, picture retakes will be held on Tuesday October 28th.
Family Discount: If using the family plan, and the elementary student would be the third free package, call customer service at 800-220-7667. Since the high school and middle school are prepay sale and Glenwood is a proof, you could place the order for all 3 students at the same time.
** There were issues redeeming this discount; however, they should have been corrected. If you are still experiencing issues, feel free to reach out to Kelly Gessler at 800-220-7667 ext 107 or kgessler@barksdalephoto.com

TEAMWORK at it's Finest
Thank you to our Glenwood PTG Decorating Committee....
They have truly embraced our "TEAMWORK" theme this year. As we all know -and have mentioned before- the players (our students) are important... from our MVP's, our Rookies to our Starting Lineup. We also rely on our Coaches (teachers & parents)... but there are also so many people behind the scenes. Our PTG has taken their creativity to a whole new level, including the TEAM theme in all their decorations... and then seeing this amazing group of parents 'beautifying' our front entrance is so much appreciated!!!
Note - that is not a soccer or football (below)... they are painted PUMPKINS!!!!
Chick-fil-A Fundraiser
Chick-Fil-A Glenwood Spirit Night is November 19th from 4 pm - 7 pm at the Lima Location. Grab an easy dinner and Chick-Fil-A will donate a portion of sales to the school - just mention Glenwood!
