From Soil to Scholars: Volunteers needed for garden prep!
Thanks to the dedicated work of HVRSD's Climate Action Committee, HVRSD received a Climate Literacy Grant, and will partner with The Watershed Institute to install native plant gardens at all six district schools. These "living classrooms" will allow K-12 students to tackle real-world climate solutions right on campus. But we need your help!
We are looking for volunteers to help with prep so that students can plant smoothly. The slots are:
- Sat 4/18 @ Timberlane, 1-4pm
- Sun 4/19 @ Central High 9am-12pm/ Hopewell Elementary 1-4pm
- Sun 4/26 @ Toll Gate 9am-12pm/ Bear Tavern 1-4pm
- Tues 4/28 @ Stony Brook, 1-4pm
Whether you can stay for the full three hour block or just drop by for one hour, every bit of help counts. Please sign up here, or email Olivia at ospildooren@thewatershed.org with your availability.
