Seach weekly update June 27,2022
From Principal Schuhwerk-
Greetings Seach Families!
As we close out our school year I would like to wish everyone an enjoyable, safe summer vacation. Thank you as always, for helping us wrap up a fantastic year here at Seach Elementary! Your support, encouragement, and partnership go a long way to making this a special place to be.
Our school mosaic has been completed and is displayed at our front entrance. Many thanks to all who participated in this fun community project. This past week students participated in an achievement data parade. Students made individual posters on their academic achievements this year and paraded around the building for students and staff in celebration of their accomplishments. The progress they have made this year is amazing! We sent our grade five students off with a promotion ceremony and a fun-filled day of activities on Monday. We wish them the best of luck as they transition into middle school. Our kindergarten students were also celebrated on Monday as they are being promoted to first grade.
Our Seach Media Club has been working with Mr. Dreyfus. Below is the link to their latest video.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jcn3KX9eVWXGvec5lNxebHIatMXxulsb/view Great job!
Parent Council will be looking for new officers next year as our current officers and their students will be moving on to middle school. If you are interested in an officer position or would like to join our parent council team please reach out to Emily Lasso - emilylassospc@gmail.com
While the momentum is still there, please continue to foster your child’s learning over the summer. Attached you will find links to summer ST Math and Reading activities. To open links please right-click on each one.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children - they truly enrich our lives each and every day! I hope you all have a wonderful summer and that everyone is able to take the time needed to breathe, reset, and relax. It is MUCH deserved!

ST Math
ST math is an online program that supports our students with further developing their math skills. You may have heard them mention Gigi, the penguin, from time to time. Our students use this program in school but are also encouraged to use it at home to help them meet their recommended weekly minutes for optimal learning.
For Kindergarten and1st-grade students, it is recommended that they spend 60 minutes each week. For 2nd-5th grade students, their recommended time is 90 minutes each week. If you have questions or need support, please let us know.
