Principal/Vice Principal's Message
Dear Legal Public School Families,
Welcome to a new school year! We’re excited to reconnect with returning families and warmly welcome those who are new to our community. As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, we remain grounded in our belief that school is more than a place to learn, it’s a place where we grow together.
Our theme this year is #webelong, a reminder that when students, staff, and families work in partnership, we create a school where everyone feels valued, supported, and included.
To kick off this initiative, please check out the events coming up for our community:
- Friday, September 5th - School Spirit Day (Wear your school shirt or colours.)
- Friday, September 19th - Croc & Crazy Sock Day (Wear either or both!)
- Monday, September 29th - Orange Shirt Day
This year, our work as a school community is guided by three key focus areas:
Empowered Student and Staff Learning
We are committed to helping every student grow in reading, writing, and math through small-group instruction, targeted support, and engaging, hands-on learning.
Healthy School Communities
At LPS, every student is known by name, strength, and story. Social-emotional learning is part of our daily routine, supported by TCIS and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies. Land-based projects and cultural learning enrich our school, and strong partnerships with parents help every child thrive.
Future Readiness
Students will participate in daily project-based learning that connects academic skills to real-world challenges. Whether leading a school initiative, working on community-connected projects, or exploring land-based learning, every student will have opportunities to build leadership, creativity, and the skills needed to succeed in a changing world.
At Legal Public School, belonging isn’t just something we feel; it’s something we build together. Thank you for being part of this shared journey.
Let’s make this a year of growth, connection, and community.

School Council
Parents play a vital role at Legal Public School, and we’re hoping for a strong turnout in our School Council this year!
The council meets once a month to discuss school programming, upcoming events, and ways to strengthen community engagement. It’s a great way to stay informed, share your voice, and support our school community.
We welcome all interested parents to join! If you have any questions or would like more information, feel free to reach out to our current council president, Sarah (Email to be shared at later date).
We look forward to working together to make this a great year!
