Message from the Superintendent Message from the Superintendent

It is a pleasure to bring back our district newsletter again this year. We were able to hit the ground running to start the 2026-2027 school year. Across every school, our classrooms are full of energy, our students are engaged, and our teachers are delivering high-quality learning opportunities. Coupled with the unwavering support of our families and community, we have a fantastic foundation to build upon for the months ahead!

September wrapped up on a high note with Homecoming Week. Homecoming Week always highlights so many of the great things in our school community. It is a great reminder of what makes me proud of Columbus. The start of each year comes with unique challenges; however, there have been endless moments that reinforced why our work is so rewarding.

We would like to take the time to welcome all of our new students and staff. We hope that it has been a good transition for everyone. We hope that the new students have been able to settle in over the past month. Additionally, we have been impressed with the energy from our new staff. A big shoutout goes to our experienced staff for their efforts in mentoring our new team members and making new students feel welcomed. We look forward to a great year. Go Cards!

Once again, we have rolled out another issue of "Charlie's News" for the 2026-2027 school year. We started "Charlie's News" to enlighten the community about the district. Based on stakeholder feedback, we continue to put an emphasis on increasing our external communication. Charlie’s News was intended to take our stakeholders on a journey through various aspects of the district's operations, student achievements, and initiatives. If you have not had a chance to check it out, please feel free to click on the link. Our intention is to create this publication annually. We hope that you enjoy it!
