What a joy it has been to attend so many traditional HSS events for the first time. The Fourth Grade Watershed Congress was amazing. It took place at Storrs Hill and the students rotated between a number of stations where they learned about fly tying, fly fishing, the water cycle, the health of the watershed, and so much more. The third graders visited Squam Lake and the Hood and the first graders had a wild water party on the school fields. I also got to watch some of the students test their engineering skills as they launched their egg contraptions off of the bleachers to see if their eggs would survive the fall. It was also fun to see so many staff and students at the Lebanon Farmer's Market last Thursday on a beautiful evening.

I am looking forward to experiencing field day, the kindergarten celebration, the fourth grade parade, and Sing America. It's been an amazing way to wrap up a great year!

Ms Davis Wins Award

Stephanie received a wonderful award for her 20 years of work with Trout in the Classroom and the Lebanon Student Watershed Congress. She does extraordinary work with organizations across the state to put on this wonderful annual event with the fourth grade team. This award was in honor of her leadership and ability to get people involved. It is well deserved.

Lost and Found

We have quite a collection of lost clothing. Please take a look to see if anything is yours. If the weather is nice, we will bring it outside for parents to check at pick up. We will take it all to the Listen Center at the end of year.

Cool places to cool down this summer:

  • The Connecticut River

  • Storrs Pond

  • Sunapee State Park
