We are excited to share our Adopt-a-Family Gift Drive wish lists for this year in support of One Dublin. We will be collecting holiday gifts for three families in our community. To view the gift requests, please see the signup below:

🎁 ADOPT-A-FAMILY SIGN UP 🎁

All gifts must be wrapped and labeled and returned to school NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3rd!

Please double check that your presents are wrapped and labeled correctly, i.e. "#4009 9A". There will be bins in the front of the school for those who would rather drop off items directly by the office.

We are also accepting monetary donations for the families through Venmo (@Deerrunpto) or Zelle (dreptotreasurer@gmail.com). Any amount helps! Thank you!

We are wrapping up Deer Run Warm Wishes Spirit Week! Friday is our last day where students can dress to represent a cause that is important to them and we will collect soap and body wash donations for One Dublin!

• Monday, November 17 - Hat Day - Please donate new warm winter hats

Also, Penny Harvest continues through December 5th! Penny Harvest Donations can be made with cash, coin, or check payable to “See Kids Dream”. Students will be researching and interviewing non-profits to direct Penny Harvest donations. Thank you for your support!

Have you been meaning to clean out the playroom because your kids have outgrown certain toys? The kindergarten team can put those toys to good use! They are looking for gently used items for "purposeful play" in the classroom. Please do not buy anything!

All of our Deer Run students will be attending a play at Jerome High School on Tuesday, November 25. The play is titled The Wind in the Willows - Young@Part.

Students will leave at noon and the play will begin at 12:30 PM. Paper permission slips have been sent home with students this week - please return at soon as possible.

If your child will not be in school that day, please remember to submit an absence request in Infinite Campus.

PERC is partnering with the Franklin County Suicide Prevention Coalition to offer a free QPR training to parents and educators. This is a virtual training on December 4th from 5:30p-7:00p.

QPR training stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer, an emergency mental health intervention program designed to teach anyone how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and help someone get professional help.

The Dublin Scioto High School PTO is hosting their annual Santa Breakfast & Craft Fair on December 6th! This is a wonderful family event with breakfast sponsored by IHOP, photos with Santa, games, crafts, silent auctions, and over 50 vendors! Please visit the link below for tickets!

Syntero will be offering free Winter Wellness Workshops this December in Franklin and Delaware Counties. Please see the flyers below for all the details!

There are a number of after school classes available for our Deer Run students, including art, robotics, fashion, engineering, and drama - there is something for everyone! Visit this link for registration information!

Are you signed up for "Kroger Community Rewards"? With a few simple steps, you can link your Kroger Shop Card to Deer Run and a small donation will be made to our school every time you shop. It does not cost you anything and it does not pull from your rewards.

Follow these steps to sign up -

1. Sign in to your digital Kroger account on the app or your computer.
2. In the drop down on the left hand side, Find "Rewards", then select "Community Rewards". On the website, click on "My Account" under your name, and then select "Community Rewards".
3. Search for "Deer Run Elementary School", select, and click "Save". Your selected organization will now display in the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account.

Unfortunately we cannot allow last minute substitute volunteers in place of those signed up for parties if they have not completed the background check process. Thank you for your understanding. There is additional information on the background check process below, and please contact Mrs. Guthrie in the front office if you have any questions!

REMINDER: ALL parent/family members that wish to volunteer for the 2025-2026 school year will need to have a completed background check on file with the district. This will apply to classroom volunteers, PTO events, field trips and any other school event. This online process is quick, secure and free for applicants. Click button below to complete the process!

PLEASE NOTE: If any family member, other than a parent, is applying to volunteer please inform Carol Guthrie at guthrie_carol@dublinschools.net to ensure a timely approval!

CURRENT VOLUNTEERS: Be sure to double check the expiration date on your volunteer card. You cannot "renew" your card and instead must complete the background check process again before it expires. Thank you for attending to this well in advance of your volunteering date.
