BPS is offering a variety of free Summer Enrichment Programs across the county during the month of June. Registration will open on Saturday, April 25th at 8:00AM. Registration for all camps will be completed through FOCUS under the FORMS Summary page. You will need to complete a registration form for each week of camp you wish for your child to attend. April 17th our students will participate in our C7 Fun Run! This is our biggest school fundraiser of the year! Help us reach our goal of $3000 for window graphics and student/staff events. Our main kick off day will be April 8th, but you can register and start spreading the word now! Students will earn prizes as they raise money for our school. April is designated the Month of the Military Child and is a time where military bases, cities, and school districts take time to honor our youth of military families with special events just for them. As part of this celebration, we will take part in Purple Up Day on Wednesday, April 15th. Have your child wear as much purple as possible to show their support!

Save the date for our 3rd Quarter Awards! Awards will be given to recognize students for academic achievement, perfect attendance, exhibiting STAR characteristics, and excelling in activity areas. Students receiving an award will receive an invitation in their report card.

Thursday, April 23rd is Bring Your Sons and Daughters to Work Day. Any parent or guardian that sends in a parent note indicating that their school age child will or did participate in Bring Your Sons and Daughters to Work day will receive an excused absence. The note can be received by Monday, April 27th to count as an excused absence.

Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school!

This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. Fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health.

Challenger 7 will remain on the modified calendar for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Please see the attached board approved calendar for next school year. Students in Grades 1-6 will begin on Monday, July 20th. Students in Kindergarten will begin on Thursday, July 23rd.

To become an approved volunteer complete the on-line Volunteer Application https://www.brevardschools.org/page/volunteers and then go directly to the BPS district office to be fingerprinted with District & School Security. There is a $35 Application fee has been waived until further notice. Volunteer applications must be renewed annually for a renewal fee of $8. Please contact Alicia Sturgill with any questions.
