Principal Update

Trask families,

I hope everyone enjoyed the first week back and had a great weekend!

  • We have our last Check-in benchmark for math for the entire school on Tuesday. We will be using the EOG schedule on Tuesday, so please be aware that the schedules will be different.
  • Our Annual Talent & Art Show is this Friday, May 2, starting at 5 pm! View incredible artwork created by our students, displayed in the Cafeteria Lobby. Enjoy dinner from Taste of Taylor's or Jamrock Jamaican, and treat yourself to dessert from Chocolate & S'mores. Then, grab a seat in the Trask Cafe for a wonderful evening showcasing the amazing talent we have at Trask. Bring the whole family for a fun night filled with art, music, laughter, and delicious food! Join us in supporting your friends and raising money for Relay For Life. Admission is by donation.
  • Teacher Appreciation Week is right around the corner! We need your help to wrap appreciation around our staff! The PTA is helping to provide our teachers with the week they deserve and is asking for donations if you can. Please click on this link to provide monetary contributions! https://trask.givebacks.com/store/items/1186132 Also, on Friday, the PTA provides lunch and recess coverage. If you can donate your time to help supervise, please click on this link! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C094FA8AE2AA5FFC52-56435599-trask
  • We are just shy of 40% of our goal of making a change for change! We have raised close to $400 already! The local school is already beyond grateful for this, but we want to give them more! Please consider looking in your couches and around your house for spare change! Bring it in, and we will tally the total amount on Friday! The fundraiser ends this Friday! LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN, BEARS!
  • Monday is the last day in April for 8th-grade formal tickets for $15! Tickets increase to $20 in May!
  • We cannot express enough gratitude for the many volunteers at Trask Middle School this year! To celebrate, we would like to formally invite you to a light breakfast on Friday, May 16th, at 9:00 a.m. Please RSVP by Tuesday, May 13th, so we may plan accordingly. Thank you so much for donating your time to our staff and students.

Have a great week!

Your principal,

Mrs. Kim Clark

Teacher Appreciation Week!

🌟 Teacher Appreciation Week

Theme: Wrapped with Appreciation

Let’s celebrate our amazing teachers with a week full of gratitude, encouragement, and love!

🧁 Monday – “Unwrap the Morning”

Breakfast Provided by Admin
Teachers will be treated to a spread of breakfast items to kick off the week with warmth and appreciation!

🧵 Tuesday – “The Last Thread”

Special Gift from Admin
A cozy surprise will be given to staff as we encourage them to push through the final stretch of the school year!

(Shhh… it’s a secret! But trust us, it’s snug and special!)

✉️ Wednesday – “Tied with a Thank You”

Student Notes & Drawings
Families are invited to help students create handwritten thank-you notes or drawings to show love to their teachers.
💡 “You’ve wrapped me in ___ this year!” (joy, kindness, fun, etc.)

👐 Thursday – “Wrapped in Helpfulness”

Do Something Thoughtful for Your Teacher
Encourage students to lend a helping hand! Today is all about acts of service — a great way to “wrap” your teacher in kindness.

💡 Ideas students can do:

  • Clean up the classroom without being asked

  • Offer to help pass out papers or supplies

  • Push in all the chairs

  • Carry something for the teacher

  • Write a note that says, “I appreciate you because…”

Even the smallest act can make a teacher’s day brighter!

🍽️ Friday – “Unwind & Refuel”

PTA-Provided Lunch & Recess Coverage
Our incredible PTA is treating teachers to lunch and giving them a much-needed break by covering recess/lunch duty.
🧺 You deserve to relax—you’ve earned it!

💌 Note to Families:

Participation is completely optional! A little love goes a long way, and heartfelt gestures are the most appreciated of all. 💖
