From the Tigers Den
A Message from the Principal
Thank you to all of the parents and guardians who took the time to attend Student-Led Conferences. Your partnership makes a tremendous difference in your child’s success.
Watching students take ownership of their learning, reflect on their growth, and share their goals is powerful — and it means even more when families are there to support them. We appreciate your time, encouragement, and continued teamwork.
As we begin to wrap up the 3rd nine weeks, now is a great time to check in with your child about their grades and any missing assignments. A quick conversation at home can make a big difference as we head toward the end of the quarter.
If your student needs extra support, ASAP (After School Academic Program) is available Monday–Thursday from 3:30–4:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for students to get help, complete missing work, and stay on track.
Let’s finish the 3rd nine weeks strong, Tigers! 🐯

🚗 Drop-Off & Pick-Up Reminders
To help keep everyone safe and our traffic flowing smoothly, please follow these procedures each day:
🌅 Morning Drop-Off
• Please drop students off at the sidewalk/unloading zone on the south side of the school
• Enter through the south parking lot to access the unloading area
• There is space for multiple cars to unload — please pull forward as far as possible and keep traffic moving
🚫 No vehicles are allowed in the bus loading zone while buses are unloading.
After buses finish unloading (around 7:45 AM), families may pull through the bus zone and unload in the main lot. If you choose this option, please pull all the way forward and remain in line.
🌇 Afternoon Pick-Up
• The first 7 cars may park directly in the loading zone
• Additional cars will form Lane 1, then Lane 2, then Lane 3, and so on
• As the loading zone clears, we will move each lane forward one at a time
🚨 It is extremely important that cars fill in all available lanes.
When drivers stop short or wait in the main drive instead of pulling into open lanes, it blocks traffic and causes backups onto the street. Even if your student is not quite ready, please pull forward into the next open space or lane. We will move lanes forward quickly and efficiently.
The system only works when everyone fills in completely and follows the lane structure.
Staff members will be outside directing traffic:
• One at the entrance to guide cars into lanes
• One at the front to signal when the next lane should move forward
🚫 For safety, please do not pull around or pass other cars waiting in line.
Even when it feels faster, it creates safety concerns for students and staff. Staying in your lane keeps everyone safer.
🚫 Please do not park and pick up students in the main school parking lot.
All students must be picked up in the designated loading zone.
👀 A Quick Reminder for Students
Families, please have a conversation with your student about being off their phones and paying attention during dismissal.
When students are watching for their ride and ready to enter the vehicle immediately, the line moves much faster. When students are distracted, traffic slows down for everyone.
Being alert, watching for your car, and entering quickly helps keep the entire system running smoothly.
We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and teamwork. A smooth, steady line keeps kids safe — and actually gets everyone home faster.
Thank you for helping us keep dismissal running like a well-oiled Tiger machine! 🐯
