Aug 31 - Sept 4, 2026

We have school Monday through Friday this week, 7:40 - 2:50 daily.

Students should be in their seats by 7:40, so plan to have them to school by 7:30 am.

Students will be on a normal schedule this week, so they should be inside of their classrooms by 7:40 am. Arriving to school at 7:40 or later will result in a tardy. Students must also arrive at their subsequent classes by the start time each period to not be counted tardy.

Our JROTC Program always positively represents Newton-Conover and we are thankful for all of their volunteer hours! They present the colors prior to sporting events and they often assist with parking on busy game nights and so much more. In the photos below, you can see them participating in Old Soldiers' Reunion festivities. Thank you to Chief Cline and his cadets for their participation!

We still have approximately 60 students whose parents have not yet completed the online registration. Remember that even though students were enrolled in NCHS or NCMS last year, they are still required to have an annual registration on file with us in order to be allowed to use their chromebooks and to be fully registered in school. Here are the steps to complete: (https://182.ncsis.gov/campus/portal/parents/psu182newton.jsp) and login using your username and password to complete the Returning Student Registration for each returning student in your household. If you don't remember your username and password, please contact Mrs. Bostwick (contact info below). Thank you to the parents of the 600 students who have already completed it!!

Email revae.bostwick@n-ccs.org if you have tried the above and are still having trouble logging in and I will reset your password.

Information about Infinite Campus

Your child's information should be visible within the parent portal of Infinite Campus this week on Monday, August 31. The district wanted to wait until most student class changes had taken place before releasing the information. You will utilize your username and password throughout the year to view grades, absences, etc.

Parents & Guardians - please do a quick check of your child's appearance before they get in the car or board the bus. We have had students coming to school wearing skirts that are far too short and shirts that are too revealing or show off midriffs or undergarments. We also have young men whose pants are worn much too low. Starting this week, we will be making phone calls home asking parents to bring changes of clothes for these students and there will be write-ups as well. We would love to avoid disciplinary action, so your help is greatly appreciated!

No fast food or drinks are allowed in the school. Students will be asked to throw it away prior to entering the building. If your family or child chooses to get fast food before coming to school, it should be consumed prior to boarding the bus or entering the school building. Thank you!!

Ticketing of unauthorized cars will begin soon! Get your parking pass ASAP if you are parking your car on campus!

If you did not purchase a 26-27 parking pass yet, come to the front office or see Mrs. Kisser during lunchtime to purchase your $35 permit. Students must be present with a valid driver's license in order to purchase a parking pass. After the first few days of school, parking tickets will be issued to anyone who does not have a posted parking permit in their cars. Parking passes are not transferable.

To save time, complete this form prior to arriving at the school. Copies will also be available on-site.

This is just a reminder about car rider drop off and pick up. No students should be picked up on 15th Street nor on any of the corners at the entrances/exits to the parking lot. These are safety hazzards and could result in a ticket from Newton PD. Drop off and pick up should be done using the traffic pattern in the video above.

Only students should enter through the student parking entrance.
