Mr. Isang Jacob - Dean's Dialogue

Welcome Class of 2023 and Parents/Guardians/Caregivers!

Hello Class of 2023,

Happy Monday and welcome back to what is going to be a great week of learning.

Tutoring after school on Mondays and Thursdays are another ways to get the help you need with your classes with teachers. You have the opportunity to attend one day of the week if transportation is a concern.

WE have seven weeks of school to go and very important to stay on task to finish strong.

We need to make sure we are taking our attendance during application days, logging into our zoom classes, and attending all our in-person classes on time.

I have included in our newsletter Dr. Tim Hanson's Wednesdays message and Mr. Shepler's Sunday's message incase you miss the important messages and information.

Please follow the CDC Guidelines/Safety Protocols put in place for the safety of everyone.

Follow the pointed arrows in the hallways while in the building walking to your assigned destinations in a timely manner.

ALL individuals in the building are REQUIRED to have a MASK on at ALL times.

Help keep everyone SAFE. Check out the video as a reminder.

Tutoring is Mondays and Thursdays transportation home is available after each tutoring session from 2:30 - 4:30pm.

All lunch seating charts are now finalized based on your selection last week. If you are new or just recently returned, find an Administrator in your lunch room or come to the Cohort Office in the Freshman Academy. Have a great Week!

COVID-19 Vaccination Update

From: Indiana Department of Health <isdh@subscriptions.in.gov>
Date: Wed, Mar 24, 2021 at 5:09 PM
Subject: Important vaccination information for teens
To: <thanson@warren.k12.in.us>

March 24, 2021

Dear Superintendent:

Anyone age 16 and older will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccination in Indiana starting March 31.

Please see the attached information to share with your high school students and their parents. It has important information about how to register for vaccination. Of particular note is the fact that students younger than 18 years old must make an appointment at a site that offers the Pfizer vaccine, as it is the only shot authorized for 16- and 17-year-olds.

Thank you for your help in sharing this vital information with your students and families.

Sincerely,

Kristina Box, MD, FACOG

State Health Commissioner

Stay Motivated

Yes, there are only 7 semesters remaining in the semester and some of you may be feeling as if it is too late to make any changes to your academic situation. However, with hard work and commitment improvements can still happen! "Each new day is a new opportunity to improve yourself. Take it. And make the most of it."

April 7, 2021 Message from Dr. Tim Hanson - Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township

April 7, 2021

Welcome back and good afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff, this is Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township with a few important updates.

Beginning yesterday, Tuesday, April 6, the Indiana mask mandate became a mask advisory with a few exceptions. One of those exceptions is the school setting. Warren will maintain our mask requirement for students and staff as well as our social distancing and handwashing expectations for the remainder of the school year.

We are excited to host Kindergarten Kick Off for the class of 2034 on Monday, April 19th from 5:30 - 7:00 at all of our elementary schools. This kickoff event provides our newest students and families to tour their school, meet our teachers and ask questions about the upcoming school year.

To provide as many families and caregivers the opportunity to provide their feedback, The Warren Family and Caregiver Survey for second semester has been extended and can be accessed at the following link, bit.ly/WarrenSurvey2021. Your input is valuable and appreciated.

It is hard to believe that we have just over 6 weeks remaining in the 20-21 school year. These last 37 days are very important for students in all grade levels, especially our high school students. If you have any needs whether they be social emotional or academic, please reach out to your child’s counselor or administrator.

I am excited to share that the Warren Pride Clean Up Day tradition, sponsored by the Warren Central PTSA, is back on Saturday, April 17th from 9:00 - 12:00. For more information and to register, please visit our Live Feed on our app or district website at warren.k12.in.us.

I hope you have a great rest of your week and we appreciate your continued investment in our students and schools.

April 11, 2021 Message from Mr. Rich Shepler - Principal

Good evening this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School.

Seniors, FAFSA is due Thursday, April 15th, 2021.

Warren families & caregivers! We’d love to hear YOUR thoughts on how we’re doing with health and safety measures, communication, and family needs. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey open now through April 12. Take the survey today at http://bit.ly/WarrenSurvey2021

Warren Pride Clean Up Day tradition, sponsored by the Warren Central PTSA, is back on Saturday, April 17th from 9:00 - 12:00. For more information and to register, please visit our Live Feed on our app or district website at warren.k12.in.us.

Please be reminded that students, staff, and guests are still required to wear face coverings in the school building. We ask that everyone continue to practice social distancing, and frequent hand washing as well.

Thank you so much for your time and have a great evening.
