A Message From Principal Glenn
Dear BHMS Families
What an incredible first day at Beacon Hill Middle School! Our students arrived with positive energy, excitement, and a readiness to learn, making for a smooth and successful start to the 2026–2027 school year.
Today, all students received their lockers, and our 7th and 8th grade students were issued their Chromebooks, ensuring they are ready to dive into learning. Our 6th grade students will receive their Chromebooks tomorrow, completing this important milestone for the start of the year.
I have truly enjoyed seeing our hallways filled with smiling faces, reconnecting with returning students and welcoming our newest Bulldogs. The enthusiasm from our students, staff, and families has been contagious, and it reinforces what a special community we have at Beacon Hill.
Thank you for your partnership and support in helping us kick off the school year on such a positive note. I am incredibly excited about what lies ahead and can't wait to see all that our students will accomplish this year. Here's to an amazing 2026–2027 school year!
Sincerely,
Alexis Glenn
Principal

Device Distribution & STAR Testing Preparation
Important: STAR Testing
We will once again be using the Renaissance STAR Assessment as our universal screener in both ELA and Math this school year.
The Renaissance Star Assessment is a nationally recognized, computer-adaptive tool used from Pre-K through 12th grade to measure student progress in reading and math. These assessments help educators identify learning gaps, monitor student growth, and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs. At BHMS, STAR supports our mission to ensure student success by helping teachers recognize strengths and provide targeted academic support where needed.
Please note: The STAR screener is not graded. It is used solely to inform instruction and ensure each student receives the appropriate support.
BHMS STAR Universal Screener Testing Dates:
August 5th: STAR Reading
August 10th: STAR Math
We kindly ask that all students:
Get a good night’s rest before each testing day
Arrive to school on time by 8:45 AM, ready to begin
Eat a healthy breakfast either at home or at school (breakfast starts at 8:15 AM)
Important Note About Results:
STAR reports will not be printed for middle school students. If you would like to access your child’s assessment results, you can sign up to receive STAR progress email updates.

Device Distribution this week!
8th and 7th Grade: Received devices today, Monday, August 3.
6th Grade: Picking up devices tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4.

Nightly Curfew: To encourage healthy sleep hygiene, all BHMS school devices automatically shut off from 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Login Information/Support
Returning Students: Please log in using your existing username and password.
New to CSD Students: Follow the first-time login instructions.
Need a Password Reset? If students have any trouble logging in, please tell them to stop by the media center, and we will be happy to assist them!
