From the Principal's Desk

Hello Little Viking Families,

Happy Friday everyone!!! It's crazy that we have made it through January already. As we celebrate our 100th day of school I am so proud of all the hard work our students and staff have put forth so far. They had such a good time today showing off their 100th Day shirts that everyone got to see during our indoor parade.

Hopefully February brings some better weather but in case it doesn't please remember to send your child with the proper clothing.

Mrs. Scanlan starts to make her return next week on Tuesdays and Thursdays so please reach out to her or myself with anything that comes up!

Overdue Breakfast/ Lunch Balances

Don't forget to check and pay any overdue lunch balances. You can check balances and pay on your parent Skyward account. You can also send cash or check payment to school with your child in a marked envelope with name and what payment is for. The office will then account for the cash or check payment on your student's Skyward.

Bus Information Bus Information

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students must have a parent or other adult meet them at the bus stop everyday after school.

Standard Response Protocol

Salt Creek District 48 has adopted an emergency protocol response from the I Love U Guys Foundation. This is a program that has been adopted by many of the schools within DuPage County. Over the summer, the administrative team attended training on the protocol and is passing along the training to all staff. We also want to make families aware of the five different protocols so you can be familiar with the language you may hear your child or the school use.

Payments & Fees Payments & Fees

zoom_out_map

In your parent portal in skyward, click on the fee payment tile, then in the far right hand top corner click on the "make online payments" button. This will take you to Revtrak. Make sure to sign up before you try to make payment. Once you can sign in, click the Make a Payment button in the middle of the page. This new service will streamline the payments so you can make a payment or set up recurring payments. This is directly connected to Skyward so you see the money immediately go to your child's account. If you have any questions please email or call your school office.

Preschool Payments: Once in Revtrak you will see in the upper right area an arrow next to SHOP. Click the arrow and pick Preschool in order for you to complete your payment. If you have any questions please email or call the Salt Creek school office.
