Jump Day is Wednesday! Everyone wear your tennis shoes!

Dear BES Families,

There is a TON going on. Please take time to look through all the flyers and events in this week's newsletter! I tried to limit the amount of info to just those upcoming events!

This Wednesday we will have an alternate schedule for the students and PE - all students will go to PE for the Heart Challenge Jump Day. Please make sure your student has tennis shoes!

Next week we will be having a spirit week for Red Ribbon Week! See the days and the details about a fun pumpkin decorating competition below! The week has been planned by our Student Ambassadors and they did a great job on our flyers!

Have a great week!

Music Notes from Miss Reynolds Music Notes from Miss Reynolds

Hi BES Parents!

I have so enjoyed getting to know your children the past 6 weeks and we have had the best time learning songs for the K-4 Veterans Day program. The program is quickly approaching, it will take place on Monday, November 11 at 1:00. We will be rehearsing during the school day the Friday before, November 8 at the High School. I wanted to provide you with some practicing resources in case your student would like to sing these songs at home, for the little ones especially: Veterans Day 2024 Home Practice

The song “American Tears” has 3 solos in it, and we will do auditions for those solos October 16-23. There is an “American Tears” slide on the presentation with the practice track and link to a PDF that has lyrics and shows where the solos are. In the coming weeks we will also be divvying up speaking parts and really bringing the entire program together. If your student comes home with a part, thank you in advance for your support and practicing with them at home.

Lastly, attire for the concert will be the same as it has been in the past - red, white, and blue! The more patriotic the better. Thanks again for welcoming me into your community and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns!

All the best,

Ms. Reynolds

Seasonal Support Newsletter

Believe it or not, cold weather and the holiday season are fast approaching. We wanted to share with you some free resources for winter coats, Thanksgiving meal baskets and Christmas gifts (Christmas gift program is for Louisburg children birth to 18). There are deadlines to each that, again, as far away as they seem, will be here in no time. The added expense of winter coats and holiday costs can be a heavy burden. If your family could benefit from a little extra support to ease that burden, then we hope these resources will do just that! Please see our newsletter to learn about some wonderful resources! Attendance and School Calendars Attendance and School Calendars

Please take note of our school calendars when planning your family's vacations.

Attendance is a focus at BES and we want your children at school! It can be very difficult for students to get caught up sometimes when they miss for extended periods of time. For example, when a student misses a week of school, that is up to 450 minutes of math instruction they are missing!

If your family does have a trip planned, we do not provide lessons or materials ahead of those trips. Teachers will work with you to schedule times when your student can be given that instruction and guided work time to ensure mastery of skills. This may have to happen before or after school, but we will also try to work during the school day as well.

GREAT school habits now help prepare students for future success!
