Dear Monomoy Middle School Families,
We would like to extend our gratitude to our MRMS families for joining us at Monomoy Middle School Curriculum Night. We were thrilled with the turnout, and are grateful for your continued support in your child's education. Teachers were excited to showcase curriculum, share goals, and provide insights into the educational experience this school year. We are excited to be able to welcome you back for conferences on October 17th and 19th. This time will be scheduled by appointment. Stay tuned for sign up details as we approach the event!
In other good news, we were able to reschedule the beach party for this Friday! See details below and hope for good weather!
In partnership,
Abby Dudley
Principal

OLD NEWS AND REMINDERS
Parent University Recorded Sessions: Last Spring we were honored to have Mr. Charles Gruska present three sessions "Developing and Preserving Self-Esteem in Our Children and Students". Charles is a parent and grandparent, whose career in education included the roles of teacher of students with emotional/behavioral challenges, school counselor, and principal, and loves to share his expertise.
Pick Up/Drop Off: Due to unexpected construction work by the Town of Chatham, our buses will need to pick up and drop off in front of the school. All families using parent pick-up/drop-off to transport their students will need to use the back loop, behind the school - this includes Grades 5, 6, and 7. All students being picked up or dropped off by car will enter and exit through the cafeteria doors on the far side of the building at dismissal.
Morning:
- 7:35 am to 8:35 - Morning Clubs
- Front loop can be used for MORNING drop off until the first bus arrives 8:30 - All Grades
- Students arriving before 8:15 MUST go to library or work with a teacher
- 8:35 Breakfast Bell - Cafeteria only
- 8:40 Hallway Bell - Lockers and Hallways
Afternoon:
- Continue to follow alphabetical dismissal on rotation
- All students for parent pick up will exit through the cafeteria door
- Bus students will use closest exit (5th grade doors or main doors)
- Late pick up (after last bus) remains in the front loop
