⚠️ Important Allergy Reminder – No Nuts in School
To help keep all students safe, nuts and foods containing nuts are not permitted in school due to student allergies.
Parents and guardians, please ensure that students do not bring snacks containing nuts or peanut butter. If your child brings Lunchables or similar packaged meals, kindly remove any items that contain nuts or peanut butter before sending them to school.
Your cooperation helps us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all students. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
📈 Attendance Matters!
Our yearly goal for average attendance is 90%. This week, our attendance rate remains at 63%! Let’s continue working together to improve.
Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s academic success. Students who attend school daily are more likely to stay on track, develop strong learning habits, and make meaningful growth in reading and math.
How you can help:
✅ Ensure your child arrives at school on time each morning
✅ Avoid early dismissals whenever possible
✅ Schedule appointments after school hours when possible
✅ Remember — every minute of instruction counts
Together, we can reach our attendance goal and continue building a strong, successful school community.
🌸 Spring Break Reminder
Spring Break begins for all students on Monday, March 30th through Monday, April 6th. Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 7th. We hope you enjoy this time with your families and return refreshed and ready for continued learning!
Thank you again for your ongoing support of Main Street Elementary School. Your partnership truly makes a difference in the success of our students each and every day.
Warm regards,
Ms. D. Medley, Principal
Mrs. C. Edmondson, Assistant Principal
Proud to serve our amazing school community! 💛
In Memory of Ny’Leek Ellison
Our hearts go out to the family of Ny’Leek Ellison during this difficult time. Although Ny’Leek was with the Main Street family for only a short while, his presence made a lasting impact.
His bright smile and friendly spirit brought joy to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by students and staff alike. Please know that Ny’Leek will always hold a special place in our hearts.
The poem displayed above was written by Ny’Leek and serves as a beautiful reminder of his creativity and the light he shared with others.
