Message from Nicole Pease Principal Message from Nicole Pease Principal

Happy Early Release Day, I hope you all have had a super week! It has been a joy to be at DCS. The week started with our monthly Whole School Assembly at which we celebrate birthdays and the Miss Emily Award for Caring and Kindness. At the end of the meeting we played a game called "Find the Teacher" where staff hide and students seek. It is so much fun to watch the excitement as students discover where the staff have hidden. Wednesday brought the final after school Cooking Club-thanks so much to Cornucopia, Olivia Clark and the volunteers that made this possible. Yesterday, Chief Suokko came in to read to the Kindergarten through Second Graders. He read The Wonky Donkey which is such a funny book. Today, DCS held their first Winter Olympics! Wellness teacher Kelly Parker planned this event and it was amazing! We had an Opening and Closing Ceremony and students participated in 4 events; Curling, Bobsled, Biathlon, and Medal/Ski Jumper Making. It was a perfect way to spend the morning.

Please see below for an after school event happening on Wednesdays in March. I hope you all have a wonderful vacation! See you in March, Nicole
