March conferences are almost here! For our spring conferences our kindergarten students will be taking charge and leading their parents through different stations to show their growth when it is in person. If you are doing a virtual conference, your child will still lead you through with the materials sent home. This is a great experience for our students, they will wow you with their growth!

***Early Childhood and WELE will follow the same format as our fall conferences. EC/WELE students should not attend their conference, only parents need to attend.

Conferences are a vital way to make a connection between home and school. Students love to share their work and we are proud of how much growth we have seen since the beginning of the year!

Please arrive on time (in person) or log on at your assigned time so your child is able to share all of his/her work with you. Thank you!

***Please note that on both days we have early release at 10:40 a.m. EC/WELE PM attends on March 20th and AM attends on March 21st.

Our community has many wonderful organizations to support parents with young children. This month, I am highlighting two resources: the UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children and the Primary School Parent Resource Hub. See below for more information.

Primary School Parent Resource Hub:

A collection of local and national resources to assist in parenting young children. Resources and topics have been selected based on D50 parent and staff feedback. Please take a moment to review the website:

• Parenting Information: Find information to help with your parenting journey (i.e. videos, podcasts, books, tip sheets).

• Community Information: Resources to help families (i.e. crisis, counseling, financial, housing, food).

• School Information: Find information to help your child be successful in school.

• Community Activities: Links to local activities in our community.

UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children
