Krum ISD Weekly Update

Dear Bobcat Nation,

We come to you asking for prayers and support for one of our families - the Gonzalez Family. KMS Teacher Mrs. Sharon Gonzalez and her husband, Athletic Booster Club President Emilio, experienced a fire at their home last night. In addition to sustaining injuries from the fire, the blaze destroyed much of their home and belongings. We can not begin to imagine the devastation this family must be feeling. Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez have always been at the front of the line to help others in their time of need, and we know that many of you in this wonderful community will want to help the Gonzalez family. Below are the ways Krum ISD has established for you to assist this family.

• A bank account has been opened at Texas Regional Bank under the name of the Gonzalez Family to accept donations.
• A spaghetti dinner will be held at the KHS Cafeteria from 5:30-7:30 on December 6.
• Cash and gift card donations will be accepted at all Krum ISD campus offices through Friday, December 16 at 11:30 am.

Please keep this family in your thoughts.

Like you, Krum ISD is heartbroken over the tragic loss of Paradise Independent School District student Athena Strand. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Strand family, Paradise ISD, and the community.

We ask our staff and students to wear pink, Athena's favorite color, on Monday, Dec. 5th to honor her and show support for her family.

Santa's Workshop is coming to the EEC, Dyer and Dodd! See the flyer below for additional details.
