Field Trip Updates for the 2025-2026 School Year

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns regarding recent field trip costs. We truly value your feedback and understand that these changes have prompted questions from many families.

In an effort to streamline and improve our field trip process, Clover Garden has partnered with Holbrook Field Trips, a professional educational tour vendor. This partnership allows us to manage all trip logistics in one place — including online payments, reservations, guided tours, and charter bus transportation — helping ensure each trip is safe, organized, and educationally enriching.

We recognize that costs may appear higher than in previous years, primarily because of the inclusion of chartered transportation and professional coordination services through Holbrook. These elements enhance the overall safety, structure, and experience of each trip for both students and staff, while also reducing the administrative burden on our teachers and volunteers.

Please know that our goal is not to limit opportunities for students but to create consistent, high-quality, and well-managed experiences across all grade levels. We are continuing to review feedback and will work closely with Holbrook to explore options that maintain quality while being as cost-effective as possible.

We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support as we implement this improved process. Your partnership is essential in helping us provide memorable, safe, and educational experiences for our students.

Thank you,

CGS Admin Team

High School Campus Updates

Hello Grizzly Families,

I hope you’ve have a great weekend! This week the 10th graders have the PreACT on Tuesday, November 4th. Students not testing will be on a normal schedule. Please remind your student that cellphones must be turned off and put in the teacher designated location at the start of each class. Thank you for your continued support with ensuring student academic and behavioral success.

All the best,

Dr. Morris

9th Grade PE November 4th and November 5th

Please plan to be outside for PE Tuesday (11/4) and Wednesday (11/5). Dress accordingly.

NCVPS Grading

Students who take courses through NCVPS receive grade updates from the instructors via email. Mrs. Gladden receives grade updates bi-monthly and frequently speaks with students regarding their progress once receiving grade updates. NCVPS course grades will not be recorded in Infinite Campus at the end of each 9 weeks. Only the final grade at the conclusion of semester or yearlong courses will be on the report card and transcript. This change will be reflected in the Infinite Campus portal for the first quarter of the 2025-2026 school year. Please contact Mrs. Gladden with questions regarding NCVPS.

"A" Honor Roll Recognition

High school students will receive recognition for the "A" Honor Roll at the end of each semester once grades are finalized (January/June).

Safety Visit from the North Carolina Center for Safer Schools

Shout out to some of our AMAZING student leaders at CGS who participated in a Q&A session with Director Karen Fairley from the NC Center for Safer Schools. Director Fairley visited CGS for a safety visit and took a tour of both campuses. Our CGS students were instrumental in giving Director Fairley feedback on what's important to students and how we can continue keeping our campuses feeling safe and secure during the school day! It was a wonderful visit and we greatly appreciated Director Fairley for taking the time to visit schools in NC and help support us through funding, grants, and resources to help make our students feel safe and secure at school! Safety First!
