A Year to Remember at Centennial Lane Elementary

This is the final issue of the Dolphin Detail for the school year.

As we close out another remarkable school year, I find myself filled with gratitude, pride, and a deep sense of joy reflecting on all we’ve accomplished together. This year at Centennial Lane Elementary has been one of growth, connection, and celebration—and none of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of our incredible students, staff, families, and community partners.

From the very first day of school, our building came alive with the sounds of laughter, learning, and friendship. We welcomed new faces, embraced new challenges, and worked each day to build a strong, inclusive school culture where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.

Academic Excellence and Growth

Our students rose to new heights this year—digging deep into learning, showing curiosity, and meeting challenges with resilience. Whether it was mastering multiplication, writing powerful personal narratives, conducting hands-on science experiments, or exploring social studies through inquiry, our students consistently impressed us with their dedication and creativity. Our staff’s commitment to high-quality instruction, collaboration, and support has helped ensure that each child continues to grow academically and socially.

Building a Caring Community

This year, we placed a strong emphasis on kindness, respect, and community. Our schoolwide PBIS efforts helped reinforce positive behavior and foster a welcoming, supportive environment for all students. Events such as STEM Night, Family Fit Night, the Science Fair, and our many PTA-sponsored activities reminded us how powerful it is when families and staff come together in the spirit of joy and unity.

The Power of Partnership

Thank you to our families and PTA, whose involvement and enthusiasm enriched our school in countless ways. From volunteering in classrooms and chaperoning field trips to organizing events and advocating for our school, your partnership has been invaluable. Together, we've created a nurturing, vibrant environment where our students can truly thrive.

Looking Ahead

As we prepare for summer, I hope each of you takes time to relax, recharge, and reflect on all we’ve accomplished. Our students have worked hard, and they deserve a break filled with fun, family, and exploration. At the same time, we’re already looking forward to the 2026–2027 school year and all the opportunities it will bring. For those of you who will be moving on to middle school or another school community, I wish you the very best in your new chapter. For those of you continuing with us at Centennial Lane, our journey continues—and I’m confident the best is yet to come.

On behalf of the entire Centennial Lane staff, thank you for an extraordinary year. It has been an honor to walk beside you on this journey, and I can’t wait to see what we achieve together next.

With appreciation and Dolphin Pride,

Debra A. Anoff, Principal

Siobhan Drumgoole, Assistant Principal

If your child rides a ZUM bus (bus numbers with six digits), please save their Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) card for next school year. The RFID card will automatically update with your child's new bus number and route for the 2026–2027 school year and will be ready to use on the first day of school.

This also applies to current 5th-grade students who will be attending Burleigh Manor Middle School next year. Please keep the RFID card over the summer so it can be used when school begins.

Did you move? Did you move?

At this time of year, many families are making plans for next school year and may be preparing for a move. If your family has moved or will be moving, please update your address information in Family File as soon as possible. If you need assistance, please contact the Centennial Lane Elementary School front office.

Please note that current residency documentation must be provided whenever a family's address changes. If you have moved, we also encourage you to call the office so we can help you understand your options and support a smooth transition for your child through the remainder of the school year.

Children who live within our school district and will be five years old on or before September 1, 2026 are required to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year.

The Kindergarten Registration link provides a concise overview of everything parents and guardians need to know, including direct access to the online registration portal and additional resources.

Please note: After completing the online portion, parents/guardians must visit the school after the registrar notifies you that your registration has been accepted in order to finalize the process.
