Board of Education Election Videos
As we prepare for the upcoming school board election, we encourage all parents and community members to get to know the candidates. Video interviews with each candidate are now available on our district website.
A special thank you to our Flock Report video announcement group for conducting interviews of all 5 candidates for the 3 open positions. We appreciate their efforts to be consistent, impartial, and professional as they attempt to assist voters in being informed of their vote!

Drop-off / Pick-up Update
Middle and High School Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminder
Families dropping off students on the west side of main campus may use the main campus drop-off loop or the drop-off loop down by the atrium. If you use the main campus loop, please follow the entire loop and let students out at the designated drop-off area. Please do not drop students off elsewhere in the parking lot.
If you need to enter the building during the designated times, please park in the other parking lot
Please do not stop on Hall Street to drop off students. This creates unsafe conditions for students, families, and other drivers. Always pull into one of the designated drop-off loops.
The main campus parking lot is not available for middle or high school pick-up after school. Please meet your student in the parking lot across the street (pictured below) or in the high school parking lot by the atrium. If you use the lot across the street, pull into a parking space and wait for your student. Students should use the crosswalk to reach you.
Thank you for helping keep arrival and dismissal safe and orderly for everyone!

New Online Tool Coming Soon for Youth Work Permits
The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity is preparing to launch the new Youth Employment Permit Portal, a centralized online system that will modernize the state’s youth employment permit process and make it more convenient and accessible for minors, families and employers. Local school districts and nonpublic schools will no longer issue youth employment permits.
Beginning Oct. 2, employers and minors will use the new portal to complete the youth employment permit process through one statewide system. To help employers, schools, families and other stakeholders prepare for the transition, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity will host a Youth Employment Permit Portal webinar on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 2–3:30 p.m. ET. For additional information and updates, visit Michigan.gov/YouthEmployment.
