OES Chief Chatter
October Newsletter
A Note From Ms. Fisher
Can you believe how quickly this school year is going? It is hard to believe that we are already approaching the end of our first quarter! Our students have been working so hard, and I could not be more proud of the effort, growth, and determination I see throughout Osceola Elementary each day.
Our students recently completed their PM1 assessments, and I am so proud of the way they approached their testing. More importantly, I am proud of the hard work they are putting into their learning every day. Each day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and show what they know!
October is going to be a wonderful and busy month at OES, with many exciting activities planned for our students and families. We are especially for our Wild About Reading Family Night on October 13th! Families can look forward to games, activities, family shopping at our Book Fair, and so much more. We hope to see many of our OES families joining us for this special evening!
We will also celebrate Unity Day on the 21st, which gives us an opportunity to highlight the kindness, respect, and sense of belonging our students demonstrate every day. Later in the month, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week with fun activities that encourage our students to make healthy, positive choices.
As we continue through the school year, I encourage all of our families to stay actively involved in our school community. Your involvement at school events is wonderful, but your partnership with your child’s academics is equally important. Taking time to ask about what your child is learning, review homework, read together, practice skills, and celebrate their progress can make a tremendous difference. If you ever have questions about your child’s academic progress or learning, please reach out to your child’s teacher. We are all working together to help every Chief grow and succeed!
We are also looking forward to seeing our families at Curriculum Night on September 29th. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about what your child will be learning this year and how you can support them at home.
Thank you for continuing to make Osceola Elementary such a special place to learn and grow. I am so proud to be part of our OES family and cannot wait to see all that our Chiefs accomplish as we continue to be Wild About Learning!
