MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BANKS MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BANKS

Greetings Lindblom MSA Eagles,

This past weekend, we hosted our annual AC and HS open house, and it was a success! Our event reflected our “Be” lief Pillars in action as our Open House team of admin, staff, students, and parents helped prospective families “Be” Engaged in the Lindblom experience, while our collective efforts showcased what it means to “Be” Supportive of one another and our school community. Special thanks to Mr. Herrera & Ms. McDaniel for coordinating teachers, students, and parents to support this annual event and showcase our school culture from start to finish.

Our opening session highlighted our strong metrics in Advanced Placement (AP), Early College & Career Credentials (ECCC), and the Algebra Exit Exam (AEE) outcomes. Student-led tours demonstrated the leadership and involvement of our AC and HS students, who proudly represented CTE, FAVPA, JROTC, NHS, NJHS, Jr. NSBE, SHPE, the Writing Center, Colloquium Day, athletics, robotics, and various student clubs.

Thank you to our parent volunteers and panel speakers, Ms. McCray (ALSC chairperson), Mr. Haynes, and Ms. Powell. Special recognition goes to seniors Eric Johnson and Kailyn Brown for serving as student contributors during our HS sessions.

My heart is full of joy. I am grateful to our entire Open House team for sharing what makes Lindblom MSA a remarkable place to learn, grow, and work. I greatly appreciate everyone’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to our school community!

Together, we strive for excellence,

Principal Banks

Attendance

When we think about attendance, we usually picture whole days missed. But missing just the first 15–20 minutes of first period or checking out early once a week adds up quickly. It can equate to over two full weeks of lost learning over the course of a school year.

Parents, try these tips:

  • Whenever possible, schedule doctor or dental appointments after school hours or toward the end of the day.

  • If your teen has a morning appointment, encourage them to return for the remainder of the school day.

Every period matters for staying on track toward graduation!

Engage in a discussion with our attendance staff, Mr. Catlett mecatlett@cps.edu, or Ms. Williams, sdwilliams1@cps.edu if you have questions about your student's attendance.
